'I remember several times in school and in churches where there were 'humorous' skits performed by men dressed as female characters.

Even before the gay agenda:scared: became such a huge issue, I was never comfortable with this idea.

Ditto Julie- I voted with my feet as far as public schools are concerned, and have homeschooled for 12+ years. I am active, however, in educational issues in our area, and have done Good News Clubs in local elementary schools when my schedule allowed me to be involved. One can remove one's child from a wicked environment and still have a voice and impact in one's community and local schools.

Cross-dressing is forbidden by God, and is not a source of fun or humor. It opens the door of the mind of a young person to ideas that they ought not be entertaining, even for a second.

2. Those twits would have hated Shakespeare
All of the female characters were played by males in drag. And that was long before Teh Gay Agenda.

17. In Shakespeare's day, women were not allowed
to be on stage in England. Because of precisely the same kind of puritanical christians that now decry cross-dressing today. Transmission of ideas via theater and the arts has a long history of scaring the crap out of these types.

6. Yeah, well Jesus had long hair and wore a dress and sandals!
The numbnuts on that site probably have never familiarized themselves with changing clothing styles throughout history. What is considered dressing as a man or woman is highly subjective and widely varied throughout history and across cultures.

And to think these lamebrains are homeschooling their children. :scared:

8. Considering Our Founding Fathers
wore wigs, velvet, lace, embroidery, and other 'feminine' attire when dressing up, no wonder the whole country's doomed -- dooooomed. Until the early 19th century when male fashion was changed radically by a guy named Beau Brummell, men wore *more* fancy fabrics and jewelry than women, not to mention make-up and high heeled shoes...with red heels no less. They'd still kill you with sword or pistol if you laughed.

As for the morons quoted in the OP, that's just their ignorance...the one thing that is always in style!

12. In Shakespearean plays of Will's day & in Chinese and Japanese opera now, men play women.
Somehow, having women play men seems quite liberal/liberated.

13. "wicked environment" ---> Has this woman ever read the Bible? Now that is a sick book.
There is no end to the untoward violence and freaky, twisted crap going on in the Holy Book.

Wicked, Wicked, Wicked indeed!

20. I like this response best.
This should go over really well:

"Would it be possible for your high school student to connect with other Christian students and wear crosses and talk about Jesus instead of cross dressing?" _(Pastor JoeRoof)_
