I wrote in "Stephen Colbert" today.
OK, one of the candidates in the district I vote in was a Republican incumbent, and was running unopposed.

1. No harm, no foul.
...and at least you didn't pump up the Reep's numbers.

3. Thanks for the thought ...
I'll have to remember that if my area has a Repuke running unopposed any time in my near future ...

"Somebody else" ...

4. A protest vote might make you feel better...
but in most precincts, write-ins have to be manually tabulated by those little old ladies who give up a whole lot of their time to come in and make democracy work for all of us. They don't always appreciate staying late counting votes for "Mickey Mouse."

Not bashing you or your vote, but that's reality. Try not to take your frustration out on the people who have nothing to do with it.

5. I just didn't want to vote for a Repuke.
I completely appreciate what volunteers who work on election day do; however, this doesn't mean I have to vote for the incumbent just because he's/she's on the ticket...especially if he/she is a Repuke. That's my choice, too (not frustrated, just don't want to give the joker one more vote. He's gonna win anyway).
