Hillary fans and Iowa residents, you heard it here FIRST!!!

I just heard (from an un-named reliable source) Hillary will choose Tom Vilsack for a running mate.

9. Foreign Policy "expert" simply means
someone who falls in line with the accepted way of doing things. Hillary doesn't want anyone to outshine her, and really both Richardson and Clark would outshine her foreign policy credentials. Obama is too much of a big name, and Edwards has already been chosen as a VP candidate and you see how well that turned out. Besides, I'm sensing a lot of bad blood between Edwards/Obama and Clinton right now. So she probably wouldn't choose them anyway.

46. I've heard this theory before
about how she doesn't want someone on the ticket to outshine her. But you know its not like she will be debating the person on her ticket, I think there are other more important factors to consider, like is it a credible ticket period in some of the red states, than whether the VP has too many credentials in foreign policy.

15. Not the point. It's the 'game' that is often played....especially
by gameplayers.

Bill tried like heck to 'meet' with Kerry over a month ago. Kerry declined - he didn't want to expose himself to Bill's style of 'pressuring' other Democrats.

11. I'm sure he's on the list
That became clear when he ran to take the air out of Edwards' campaign, and then bowed out to support Hillary when it began looking like she could be competitive there.

But it certainly isn't a given that he is the running mate, nobody knows who that will be yet. In addition, he'd be a stupid choice which is why I doubt he'll be picked.

42. Me too!
I actually had to miss a chance to go to a private reception with one of the "big 3" in the last week because I couldn't get out of work. It'd probably be a lot easier for people to be engaged in politics if the events weren't held at 10:00am-11:00am in the flippin morning on a weekday!!

Oh well, I suppose I shouldn't complain. This time 2011 I won't have to worry myself with candidate meetings.
