DFA has their Poll Results! Check out the State Map to See How Your Candidate Did!
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 09:35 AM by KoKo01
This Map is fascinating and shows which Dem Candidate or "Other" voters in the DFA POll in your state supported. A Quick view is Obama won SC, Kucinich won NC...Gore won Florida ....etc....

Be sure to "click on your state" for the breakdown of how many voted for each individual candidate.

1. That says much about my man Kucinich, but unfortunately also says much about DFA's minimal influence

3. True....but the DFA voters are Activists ....so that means something..
I suppose people could have voted in the poll who aren't DFA members, though. I can't remember if there was a way they screened the voters so that "others" could skew the results. Maybe someone here knows.
I'm a member so I just clicked on to vote.

6. I hate to say it, but the REAL activists I know are already involved in campaigns (and not Dennis's)
as much as I wish they were.

Dennis has the best ideas but the worst chances of implementing those great ideas. Part of why I like Edwards is because he's actually got a better chance of implementing some of Dennis's agenda than Dennis does.

4. That was my thought, precisely.
Online polls are pretty much bullshit, anyway.

2. Y'know....I love Dennis Kucinich.....
And I love my little state of NH dearly. But there's no way in hell he could get 33.79% of the vote here. Nice dream, but let's be realistic. NH has only recently crawled out of the cave. People here just don't see Dennis the way we do.

5. It was only 669 DFA /NH voters that gave him 33.79% of the vote, though...

Did you click on your state and scroll down to see the breakdown of how many voted in NH for each candidate. Some might have missed that you could get the individual results for your state.

Hey...at least there are 669 real progressives there...if you can find them....:D

7. I could see Dennis coming in third in New Hampshire. Either Obama's or Edwards' campaign will
collapse after Iowa (I'd guess Obama's because of the structure of the Iowa caucus but it could go either way).

Between Obama and Edwards, whoever emerges as Hillary's main challenger may well beat her in New Hampshire, but she'll come in second (if she doesn't win it), and I think Dennis is in a fair position to come in third (Richardson will have pulled out and endorsed Hillary by then and Biden and Dodd will be also rans and Gravel's supporters will all vote for Paul in the Republic primary).

11. Interesting that Clinton gets only 4.85% and 5th place in New York!
and doesn't win a single state. Obama at least wins Illinois, and Edwards wins Washington. The rest of it seems to be between Kucinich and Gore...

12. Why did they include Gore?
I would consider Gore if he ran, but he hasn't declared. I would like to know where his 20+ percent would have gone if he wasn't included.

13. Apparently some at DFA still hold out hope for Gore run
See this account . . .
http://www.blogforamerica.com/view/22861
Over 38,000 DFA members chose ‘other' in the DFA Presidential Pulse Poll and wrote Al Gore in.

The poll involved selecting 1st, 2nd & 3rd choices, so DFA has the data and answer your question here . . .
http://www.blogforamerica.com/view/22860
We decided to ask for 2nd and 3rd place votes as a way to get a better feel as to who you supported after your first choice. It was obvious from before the poll even began that we would get a good number of votes for Al Gore. In fact over 38,000 people did, and since it now appears Gore will not be in the running, we can see who those people may vote for in their states primary. Those Gore votes end up going to: Edwards: 30%, Obama:18% and Kucinich: 15%.
