I'm going to have a political Christmas card this year
I always do a custom Christmas card to send to family, friends and relatives and such.

This year, I've decided to do one where it has a Homeland Security stamp on it that was illegally looked at as per Bush's secret spying program. It will some Christmas card with my family and such and then have a big stamp on it where it was checked off by Bush spying operatives. There will also be a decal with Bill O'Reilly's Annual War On Christmas crap slapped on it.

It's sure to piss off my Republican relatives. I'd suggest other DUers do the same theme!

Now is that really your goal? To piss off your relatives during the X-mas season? LOL

6. I want to make it "memorable"
If I can remind Republicans during the holidays that democracy is the best gift we can get with a little reminder of the King's handiwork, the better...

Actually, they probably won't "get it" anyway...

8. So true... saying "Happy Holidays" is unMerrikkkan...
That's a good idea. Happy HOLIDAYS in really bold with fingers pointing to the word "Holidays"...

9. I'd love O'Reilly to show up at my door
I'd give him a nice baseball bat for the holidays. He might not like how I give it to him though...

5. I would love to market topical Xmas cards
Here's one:

Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and John McCain dressed as Kings, approaching a gate on a dark night.

Joseph turns them away, saying "Sorry guys, we were expecting three WISE men."

11. I don't understand why you want
to offend people with a Christmas card. If you don't like them, just cross them off your Christmas card list. There is no reason to intentionally piss them off, especially relatives.

14. It will be "tastefully" done...
The problem with many people is that they don't realize that their mail could be examined by Homeland Security or whoever the Bush goons decide are best to open up the mail.

This just reminds people of that fact. If it offends them to see that their own government is doing that to its citizens, then so be it.

Believe me, I've done cards with hanging chads in 2000, peace signs in 2003 and other odd things in the past.

PM me and I'll send you a card.

15. Maybe it will make them think?
Christians think nothing of sending religious-themed cards or wishing "Merry Christmas" to non-believers.

But still I think it's always better to use humor to get your point across.

Or choose a message like "PEACE ON EARTH"

12. Every year, my christofascist cousins send out the most Jesus-y card possible
while I send them the most secular, non-Christmassy card possible. I never use any colors even remotely hinting at green or red. Only the New Year is mentioned. I also try to slip in a few offhand remarks in my handwritten accounting of the year (I don't do form letters).

It's a subtle battle, yet one waged every year.

17. Maybe they don't have a problem with getting their mail secretly examined
In that case, they shouldn't be upset...
