e-vote machines malfunction in riverside CA
went down to the local location to vote yesterday on the soon-to-be-dumped touch screen vote pads. Kept touching the connect point for my preferred candidate and the first four times the check mark was placed by the name of the person I did NOT want to vote for! Same happened for local school board candidates. When I mentioned this to the persons running the election station, they told me to keep trying again til it worked right. They did NOT want to talk about whether this election machinery was defective.

Eventually I got the darn thing to mark my choices. The print out ticker showed my votes correctly. Wonder how many people voted and did not notice their votes were incorrect? My city council choice lost by less than 100 votes.
