What is the next pre-ordained plot development in the Dem race?
A few days before the November 16 (Nevada) debate the media will tip its hand as to what they have decided the next "development" in the Dem race will be. Most likely, it will be a stage-managed 'come-back' for Hillary, along the lines of the current stage-managed 'decline'...

Will the media chose a straight-up Clinton 'come-back' based on her 'impressive' performance in the Nov 16 debate, or will they pick a narrative involving 'trouble' for Obama, based on his 'uninspiring' performance in that upcoming debate?

Will Biden 'gain traction' and/or 'get a second look'? Will Edwards 'disappoint'?

What MSM/op-ed bellwethers do you use to guess what new voter attitudes have been decided on?

1. It will be the pre-ordained Clinton "comeback" that vanquishes Obama
Completely orchestrated of course (by the media and Hillary that is, I am sure Obama won't like it).

4. Media Spin and Shock
I've noticed lately how much the networks use shock to get interest. On CNN alone, there was PLANET IN PERIL. You know what? I watched the whole f'ing thing and it didn't seem to me that the earth was in peril. Peril is a strong word. Then they had NOOSE - AN AMERICAN NIGHTMARE. It's like a marquee at the multiplex to get the teen audience in. Just give me that damn facts without the feigned outrage.

Politcal races are the same. I have no doubt they plan stories and headlines around ginning up interest in one candidate over another. It's like the "real world" of reality shows where the producers carefully edit to create storylines where none would otherwise exist.

5. That 'People think we in the media are increasingly full of shit'
after looking at our pathetic performances leading up to, during, and after the last debate. As we are about almost everything. So they're trying to get honest information anywhere else they can find it, including the internet and listening to pretty much anybody but us about what's going on.'

Well, OK, they're not honest or self-aware enough to make the truth the next storyline.

6. I'm not sure in the Democratic race, but in the Repub race it will be Huckabee taking off in Iowa
and Paul taking off in New Hampshire.

7. I say a dark horse is thrust into the spotlight, either Biden or Richardson
I am unsure of what the focus on the big 3 will be yet.

8. A narrowing of the race
They would prefer to see a narrowing of the race to keep things interesting.

However, it will not be a narrowing that actually threatens Hillary's inevitability. She will stage a last minute neck-and-neck comeback (before the votes are even cast, of course).

Then, after the nomination has been decided, they will start beating up on her, and bringing out things that should be brought up now.

10. I love these smug "I can't tell a conspiracy from a normal real world phenomenon" replies
The media consensus drama-driven narrative is an incontrovertible feature in all national races... has been since at least 1980, and probably longer.

12. Yes, but you are saying preordained as opposed to
a reaction to events.

15. Fair enough... I mean Pre-ordained as in before-the-fact, not long-term planned out.
Ordained the week before, not years in advance

11. I think they'll be ready to pounce on Clinton for anything she says that isn't yes/no.
If she shades, qualifies, explains, or refuses to answer ANYthing, they'll be all over her.

16. It'll happen, but Richardson may stick it out through Iowa. I wish he'd run for Senate.
