When Bill Clinton Finally Parachutes into Iowa & New Hampshire, the Crowds Will Go Crazy.
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 04:02 PM by David Zephyr
It's the last week before the Iowa Caucus and the same in New Hampshire.

Bill Clinton, the Big Dawg himself, drops in from the sky above and the voters simply go crazy. The crowds will become manic with nostalgia and love for Bill.

New Hampshire voters will welcome the guy they made "The Come-Back Kid" back with open arms.

And the words of Bill Clinton himself from 1992 will ring in every mind and heart: "You get two for one" with us.

Hillary's Ace of Spades, her trump card will be played.

Don't discount the love and respect Democratic primary voters have for Bill. It's certifiable political gold.

2. I don't doubt for a moment that Clinton 1 will do everything he can . . .
For Clinton 2. I'm not sure the progressive version of The Rapture (whatever that might turn out to be) will ensue, but increased enthusiasm for Hillary's bid might well be one outcome.

6. LOL! The "progressive version of the Rapture". It probably will be just that.
That should have been the title of my thread. It's just about spot on as to what is going to happen.

3. So Hillary needs Bill to make her a valid candidate?
I thought she didn't need him to run for President...

5. Hey, maybe I won't have to wait for the 2008 general election results to see Rush's head explode.
If Hillary makes it all the way to the presidency as I think she will, I'm certain there will be quite a few cranial detonations around the country.

39. Sure she would
Hillary is still Hillary, with Bill or no. She would still be in the mix if her husband was a lawyer somewhere; it would just be more surprising

Bill Clinton was just in Vegas a couple of days ago campaigning for Hillary and they showed the crowd. He's a friggin rock star. I like to hear Bill Clinton speak and have on four occasions. Is this going to sway my decision on who I support no, I'm voting for the dem nominee no matter who it is.

19. Sorry, but crowds going crazy for BILL doesn't really translate to her.
A lot of people who dislike Hillary still have great admiration for President Clinton.

She CANNOT win this way. She has to give people reason to vote for HER, NOT HIM. He isn't on any ballot anymore.

27. I didn't say it was "OK" at all. I'm saying that it will be a big factor, like it or not.
Wolsh, I'm sure you meant well, but that's not what I'm saying. But this is a first for the American people and for Democratic primary voters. Bill Clinton is adored and, rightly or wrongly, voters know that if she walks into the White House, Bill and all his experience walks in with her. It's a factor and I think it will be a big factor.

34. The opposite is also true.
Some people love her and hate him and his supposed wandering eye. I'm not one of them, but have run into a couple. Campaigns are always about the couple. They are no exception. Joy to them both. Hope she wins the nomination and goes all the way. I believe she would be a tremendous president.

I just love him. He and Hillary came to Kentucky on different occasions in 06 to raise money for the dems. They helped us elect John Yarmuth and get rid of Anne "Bush rubber stamp" Northrup. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!

28. Hell, I love the guy. His politics have driven me nuts for years, but I love him.
I was a Brown delegate in 1992 against Bill, but by the end of the convention I was standing on top of my folding chair in the California Delegation wearing a "Brown for President" jacket and waving a "Clinton" sign. After 12 years of Reagan and Bush, Clinton morphed right into Elvis Jesus.

and a rec for Hillary. Bill helps Hillary win support. And, why not? It would be silly for her to keep him under wraps.

31. They went wild when he campaigned for Joe Lieberman against Ned Lamont
Big Dog said that he had been promised by Holy Joe that after the primary, Joe would support Lamont if he lost. Joe lied. Big Dog did not condemn Lieberman for lying to him or for running as an independent. Can't get the Israel Lobby upset, ya know, particularly when Hillary would be needing their support on her Presidential campaign.

And I imagine that it wasn't the easiest thing for her to do, but she did do it.

and neither she nor Bill campaigned for Lamont. Her support for Lamont was tepid.
