Today's San Jose Mercury News has a lead story "Lawmaker scolds Yahoo: 'Morally you are pygmies.'" It's about a Congressional hearing where a Congressman scolds Yahoo executives for cooperating with Chinese officials in China.

Here is my letter to the editor in response to that story:
"Morally you are pygmies," says the Mercury-News headline, reporting a Congressman's scolding of Yahoo executives for violating human rights by obeying Chinese law in China. This is the same Congress which will soon confirm as attorture general a moral pygmy who condones blatantly illegal torture. (His "don't know" is as unconvincing as his predecessor's "don't recall.") This is the same Congress which will soon grant retroactive immunity to telecom moral pygmies that blatantly violated Americans' human rights and American law in America at the behest of the Cheney-Bush administration's moral pygmies and, as we now know, even before 9/11. I suggest that Congress, now controlled by the so-called "opposition" party, should get some mirrors engraved with the old saying, "Takes one to know one."
