Clinton: GOP Candidates are Bankrupt of Ideas
By Rod Boshart

CEDAR RAPIDS - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — who is often the target of attack from her GOP counterparts — fired back Tuesday by saying the 2008 Republican field is "bankrupt of ideas" other than to carry on the failed policies of the Bush administration.

"There are just no ideas other than just continuing the Bush policies. I think that is a very stark contrast to what we on the Democrats are saying," Clinton said during a meeting with The Gazette's Editorial Board.

"We may have differences on the Democratic side about specifics, but I think we all stand for really substantive change away from what we have seen as a dangerous experiment in extremism," she added.

4. This is true - but it was also true in 2002 and 2004 when it was being said
by others.

Hillary and Bill sided with Bush's decisions on the two biggest issues of those campaigns - terrorism and Iraq war.
