Who do you think junior would have appointed as AG during the break
if Mukasey hadn't been approved? Or was it a bluff?

I know that's part of the rationale that Feinstein used to justify her vote, and it seems to me that he would have followed through on it. Any idea who might have been waiting in the wings?

10. Nobody, he said he'd just let the acting AG run the department
IMO that's perfectly fine with me. Acting AG has a lot less ability to set any long term policy.
