Same record as Clinton but they wouldn't give the GOP as big a fight.

28. Were the Clintons good when they were in office for 8 years?
Per some accounts, Gore did not think so. Kerry included the Clinton years in the years when not enough was done - using a Churchill phrase, "the years the locusts ate".

55. No just one - but this is why a former first lady run is awkward
On one hand, she is claiming all the experience of the 2 terms her husband was President. She is also claiming various legislative accomplishments under Clinton that she advocated for.

But, where Bill Clinton fell short or did things now seen to have problems, such as NAFTA and welfare reform, she takes none of the blame. Neither Bill Clinton or HRC pushed for higher CAFE standards, when they in fact went down as "trucks" were not included and most SUVs were counted as trucks. If Hillary can claim that she helped create S-CHIP because she pushed Bill Clinton to accept it, if she was a real environmentalist wouldn't she have pushed for higher CAFE standards.

What I see is some revisionist history. Gore was excellent on the environment, Bill Clinton's Arkansas record was not good. The good Bill Clinton did was mostly in the last several months where he issued many executive orders - the problem is that none had a chance to show they woirked as Bush dismantled them.

The point is that ALL Democrats are now in favor of dealing with global warming. I think they have also all become more aware of other environmental issues. None of them have major long term accomplishments on the environment - as Gore and Kerry did. The point that Senator Kerry makes when asked about 2008 is that ALL the Democrats are good on global warming, while none of the Republicans, except McCain are. (That is a fair exception because the sentence otherwise would be dishonest.)

Probably so, I'm just saying this b/c there's a real sense she can win. This makes her attractive to a lot of people who wouldn't necessarily choose her as their ideal candidate. Also the factor of Bill Clinton as a close adviser is huge.

I despise men (and women) who don't have control over their hormones. Many of us are tempted by the menu, but only those who have learned from their mistakes OR those whose moral compasses are intact can relate.

Perhaps "Big Dawg" has learned from his numerous mistakes. However, if he has not ... Bill Clinton has a serious ongoing problem and will continue to be a secrutiy risk.

39. I would hate those 3 endorsing her before she wins the nomination
especially Kerry and Gore. I also hope those two good men will not compromise their real integrity when they defend her, which they will, in the general election. They both owe the Clintons nothing.

In fact, Hillary should look at the end of this video clip to see how a good Democrat avoids piling on when the words of another are in question and ends up supporting ALL the Democratic candidates.

in super delegates in December 2003? He also had many of the big endorsements available, including Gore and Harkin - who have not spoken yet. Another candidate, Clark, had what was an unofficial Bill Clinton endorsement as Bill Clinton was quoted as saying Clark and HRC were the only stars in the Democratic party.
