But thanks for pointing out that Hillary is still first in the dead heat. Warms my heart.

33. As a die-hard HRC detractor..
.... I assume this is a joke or sarcasm. Two points doesn't even cover the statistical margin of error. It's meaningless.

2. A little too soon to say "death spiral"
but she is not in as good of shape as she has been.

Statistically, she is at the same place as August.

3. "Death spiral" may be a bit strong, but here is the most worrisome part of the poll for Hillary:
Zogby points out that the race is tighter when second-choice support is considered:

However, the race tightens dramatically when second choices are factored into the mix – a critical wrinkle in the Iowa caucuses. In the caucuses, a first round of “balloting” is conducted, and those candidates who do not win at least 15% support are ruled “unviable” and supporters are directed to a second choice among those who remained “viable” before a second round of “balloting” is conducted. Zogby polling shows Edwards makes big strides as a second–choice candidate, jumping six percent ...
- 30% - Clinton
- 29% - Obama
- 27% - Edwards
Hillary should be very concerned that Obama is getting TWICE AS MUCH second choice support as her and Edwards is getting THREE TIMES AS MUCH second-choice support.

I like where Obama and Edwards are in Iowa at this stage. I'd love to see Hillary finish third, which currently seems entirely possible. This would set Hillary back immeasurably in New Hampshire, and if Hillary cannot win Iowa or New Hampshire, she's suddenly in deep trouble.

caucus.

Has something happened which I missed?

4. As the other candidates gang up on her what do you expect?
Republicans don't bash other republicans, we bash the shit out of each other and wonder why we drop in the polls.

7. We don't 'bash' each other.
We, in our search for the best candidate, feel free to question everything about a candidate. We do not annoint our leader.

The "McCain's black baby" did not come from a Democratic source - the repukes can be just as bad to each other as they are to us.

17. They are in competition with each other... they all do it... both parties.
We drop in the polls cause we keep showing the public that we just can't or won't follow up on what we claim we stand for.

9. Gee, Zogby international poll has had HRC's campaign
Edited on Fri Nov-09-07 12:40 PM by BenDavid
dead for about a month and a half now, but other polls are reflecting something altogether different. She actually has increased her lead in a majority of the polls or maintaining her lead in the others, but before all you obama and edwards folks hoop and holler, most of those same polls show no movement by either obama or edwards and in a couple obama has moved up by 2 points and edwards has dropped....

We will know how it goes come January 3,2008 when Iowa holds a vote....Early prediction: HRC wins by 7% points....Iowa

27. I really do wonder who they polled
'Cause those numbers are all very weird. Perhaps they were polling Texan trailor parks, Cuban Miami neighborhoods, and Idaho militia communities to get numbers like this?
