Ms. Esterday tells the media what is important.
Ms. Esterday said she did not understand what all the commotion was about.

“You people are really nuts,” she told a reporter during a phone interview. “There’s kids dying in the war, the price of oil right now — there’s better things in this world to be thinking about than who served Hillary Clinton at Maid-Rite and who got a tip and who didn’t get a tip.”

8. The tombstoned poster was not the only one who thought it was

important, and I think it's unfortunate if he got tombstoned for saying so.

It's important because it suggests an uncaring attitude about working class women, hardly a feminist position. Clinton needs to be more careful because her staff also stiffed a waitress in 2000. I don't think it was intentional either time, the attitude afterwards was more troubling.

10. Keep quoting the Moonie Times while keeping Rush's favorite story alive.
"It's important because it suggests an uncaring attitude about working class women, hardly a feminist position."

Its important to Republicans because it allows them to call Democrats, who insist on a government that caring for the people, hypocrites.

See John Kerry cuts in line for a similar example.

Or from this year John Edwards mansion and expensive haircuts meaning he's a fake populist.

And do you also want to chime in on the "Hillary: Cat Killer" story?

Any other bullshit dirt you might want to feed your "Hillary is Satan" hunger?

4. She has more common sense than all these media people.

Can we focus on what is important? Like, for example, the Peru Trade Deal? The Musakey vote? Or a few other things like that. I know that it could be even more of a problem for some candidates, but, at least, we would be speaking about things that matter. (May be it is too complex for those people who follow the campaigns, and who may have been covering Paris Hilton just before).

5. But she also said:

"Reached at her home in Iowa, the waitress, Anita Esterday, said that neither she nor a colleague who helped serve Mrs. Clinton recalled seeing any tip."

"She said a local staff member of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign was in the restaurant on Thursday to tell them that the campaign had left a tip."

"She said that when she and her colleague said they had not seen a tip, the staff member gave each of them $20."

$20 is important to a waitress who depends on her tips for her living.

I agree that there are more important issues in the world, BUT how a presidential candidate treats working class people is very important.

Clinton has had the same thing happen before, in 2000 when she was running for the Senate, and a waitress was stiffed after serving her. I doubt that Clinton ever personally pays bills or tips, but she needs to make sure her staff member who handles paying restaurant checks and tipping servers makes sure each server gets his/her tip so this doesn't happen again. Or maybe she needs to do it herself.

6. What a stupid post
The Clinton campaign has a receipt that proves they left a $100 tip, but you still think it didn't happen.

And it was a lie in 2000 also. And you believe that one too. Barnum was right

14. Ever heard of tips paid by credit card and not directly to the waitress.
This is the prototype of the silly story.

Then again, Hillary garners about 10 married white guys nationwide, so it's still a race.

A war that your boss gave * a blank check for... And then effectively did it again with her vote on the Kyl-Lieberman amendment.
