Who should I see this weekend? So many candidates So little time
Edited on Fri Nov-09-07 05:10 PM by NewHampster
:)

Mass. Governor Deval Patrick at a house party for Barack

Edwards in Salem, but I've already seen him twice

Dennis in Manchester for a few events. I've met him already but he's always a kick to hear again.

Biden is at a house party in Epping and I'd like to see him too. Doubt I could sneak in unless I show my Dem Committee Creds. nah. Anyone can get into Biden events.

The friggin Reepers are everywhere.

Ron Paul is at like 10 events. Romney and McCain too.

Then there's the Huckster Preacher. We saw him play with a band at a local bar a few weeks back.

?? Hmmmm ??? So many candidates, so little time. Plus I have my Saturday canvassing duty.

Hill and the big O are in Iowa this weekend.

Here's the local schedule I use. http://www.prioritiesnh.org/birddog_calendar.php

3. Yeah. He's one I want to meet
Also Dodd and the crazy guy if he comes back to NH.

Barack is still on my list too, although I've had the privilege of hearing his much better half.

I've seen Richardson twice and seen Hill so many times I feel like old friends, if she knew my name.

10. Biden supposedly gets up close and personal with the audience - really gives them a chance to get to
know him. Go! :)

2. I'm almost jealous. :) I'd want to see Biden and Huckabee.
Huckabee for certain if he's speaking. He worries me a little and I'd love to see him up close.

8. He's funny, fundie and charismatic. Scary stuff.
I keep saying he's the one to watch. I was in grad school in Ark when he was the Gov. That man wants CONTROL. Not good.

I would LOVE Rudy to get the nom.

7. And out here in California, we are lucky to get a tiny peek
at a real candidate. I saw Edwards -- very briefly -- after the GLBT debate, and I caught a glimpse of Obama's crowd across the street from the Edwards event. This primary system is great for Iowa and New Hampshire. But it leaves voters in the rest of the country out in the dark.

12. That's why we have this system
If the first primaries were in large states you wouldn't see them anymore than now.

At least someone can see them and ask tough questions.

13. I realize someone has to go first.
But, it shouldn't always be the same couple of states. Here is how it works for most of the candidates out here in California. They come to state to raise funds at elite gatherings of their supporters that take place in wealthy enclaves. The rest of us insignificant (read poor) folks travel quite a few miles to wait in some uncomfortable spot at an awkward location (usually on our feet) to hear them speak. They rush in, give their stump speech, shake a few hands and leave. We are lucky if we see our favorite candidates once during a campaign. They use California as an ATM and campaign in other states. Yet, we have a huge number of voters and electoral votes.

14. Yes, I agree with parts of what you say.
I am jealous of the primary states. I live in Ca and next weekend I have to get in a van with a bunch of other people and drive all the way to Reno to see Edwards in a town hall. This may be my only chance to see any candidate in this election unless they come to my home town.

9. Ron Paul
When it comes to question time, ask him: 'America has very large number of crackpots, but do you think it will be enough to elect a libertarian?'

Seriously, I'd say Kucinich or Biden on the Dem side. Romney for the Publican. They all give good speech.
