John McCain says, "If you want to relive Woodstock, buy the record."
This was the last line of a McCain ad I just saw on TV here in Boston, and it annoyed me very much. They're still trying to turn the clock back to the fifties.

I've also been a bit surprised to be seeing McCain ads frequently this week. I'd been thinking he was pretty much out of the picture, but I guess he's getting enough money to buy TV ads. If only he'd just go away.

only heard what McCain has said, that it is something Hillary like slipped into some appropriations bill. Is that right? If so, how much dough are we talkin? Cause I gotta tell ya, if it's true, I gotta kinda agree with ol John on this one. Anyone got more info or a more reasonable explanation of what this is about?

12. My mom used to live about 2 miles away from the Woodstock site
Basically, the area has been dying economically. The former president of some cable company, Allan Geary (sp?), who grew up in the area, wants to do something for his community. So, he's sunk tens of millions of his own dollars in development projects one of which is the Woodstock Museum. Hillary got him one million dollars as a token of federal support for the project. NYS is also chipping in a few million.

The money has been well spent. The area is picking up, though admittedly, gambling (and the future potential for even more gambling) has also helped a lot.

I don't see anything wrong with the federal govt getting involved in the economic development of an economically depressed area. Since when is helping the poor not progressive?

14. Thank you. That makes alot of sense. I wish it was getting some
coverage. Hillary probably ought to get out in front of this thing. We've seen stuff like this get out of control before.

I guess he is competing with the Fred Thompson for the curmudgeon vote. Tomorrow, he'll announce his plan to force those punk kids to get off of the American lawn.

I guess love and brotherhood just aren't values for America anymore.

Death, chaos and torture, though? Man, where do we get more o' that?!

6. He's going for a meaningless emotional hit.
It appears to have worked, at least on the negative side of the ledger.

18. Code Language for
"The Democrats are nothing but Dirty Hippies"...you know, the now rich (but still organic!) ones who are giving millions to the Democrats and *nothing* to the Republicans. Good luck with that, John.
