Edwards was lucky to speak first
Tomorrow's newspapers have their story and are going to bed. They aren't going to hold their newsroom open until midnight for Obama's and Clinton's speeches. It was either the luckiest or smartest (or both) political move of the night.

1. You're not kidding, right? Press won't even cover Edwards. If they do it will be negative

2. Oh give me a break. Your statement has no factual basis whatsoever. Poor little pitiful Edwards...
According to his wife, he can't get any press because he's not Black and he's not a woman. Geez...

But many watching on tv are starting to doze off right now. Many have turned the channel already. Only the diehard Hillary, Obama, and DU members will stay up for the rest.

7. I don't think any other of the candidates can touch him in the speech department
Hillary is about the worst there is and luster is off Obama.

9. But I just can't trust what Obama says anymore, so a speech is just a speech

10. But you can trust Edwards?
He was caught lying about matching funds, pretending it was a moral reason when it was a necessity after not being able to raise as much money as he wanted.

11. "Lying about matching funds", because he said he wouldn't take them originally?
pales in comparison to what Obama let happen to gay Americans at that dreadful concert.

13. Yes, and pretending it was a "moral" choice.
Obama's record on gay rights shows that concert meant nothing.
