"Norquist has commissioned lawyers to draw up a constitutional amendment that would ban family members from succeeding one another to elected and appointed office. If passed, it would not apply to the Clintons as a Bush was elected in between them. But Norquist believes that it will alert voters to the perils of dynasty. “Americans don’t like to go back,” he said."

So if Mr.X becomes mayor nobody from his family can hold any public office and how do you define family member?

This is from the same party that gave us the 22nd Amendment...No thank you very much...

And remember - Franklin Pierce was a relative of Barbara Bush. Much closer in blood than Hillary and Bill. Hillary is only married to Bill. So what in the hell crap is it that it is a DYNASTY...BULLSHIT.

Bush is the descendant of millionaire war-profiteers and Nazis, generations of money and power.He inherited all of that blood-spattered money, and pissed a lot of it away.

Bill Clinton? Pure trailer trash, started out with nothing and look what he has become. Helluva success story, Horatio Alger couldn't have written better.

Dynasty? Wait a few generations. In 2007, this is just another 'angle' being promulgated by lazy scibes and propagandists.
