MSNBC and cable charges. What's the scoop?
Heard a portion of the Ed Schultz show today and thought I caught mention of am FCC retaliatory effort to silence MSNBC by charging subscribers more for the channel.

True?

In the works?

Possibility?

If so it's all due to K/O speaking the truth to power. In the long run this might work against the executive branch. If some group gets a hold of this and makes a good counter punch.

Comcast has taken off msnbc off basic cable in many areas. You have to pay extra if you want to watch MSNBC.

Here's a daily kos diary about Comcast and MSNBC

2. I doubt the FCC is trying to hurt MSNBC.
I don't like the FCC's position on:
Net Neutrality
indecency fines
media consolidation

but trying to hurt MSNBC because of Keith Olbermann just doesn't seem like the FCC.

3. It's not that, it's Comcast being idiotic and greedy
and kicking MSNBC to a more expensive tier so it can cram in more HD channels. Why it chose MSNBC? NBC left it unprotected by not contracting with them to force them to carry it on a lower tier, so they are bumping it up, using "poor ratings" as their excuse.
