Help! I turned on C-span tonight and they had a split screen - on 1/2 were the meanderings
on the senate floor and, on the other half, was a video of a politician somewhere in the United States (Indiana, I later learned)
coming out to the podium to give a speech.

The audience was not just clapping, not just applauding loudly, but boisterously yelling - whoo-hoo!!! Yaaaaay!!!!! - .
hooting and hollering to beat the band, and they just didn't want to stop.

Problem is, the politician in question was George Bush. It felt so surreal. I figured it was some archived footage and kept
waiting for them to put a date under it - say, Sept. 12, 2001. But they didn't. I kept saying to my son, "This can't be NOW -
where could he be to get that kind of reception in this country, now?? This is so unreal."

No one I've spoken to saw it, but I did look it up and found that he did give a speech in Indiana. Who were the people there,
and did he give them all 100 shares in Halliburton, or what????????

1. With jr it's either brainwashed military or 75 year old chamber of commerce
types in the audience & behind him. Nobody else would get involved with the son of a bitch,

2. You Think 75 Year Olds Support Bush?
Nope.

Many of them were on to him before the youngsters became aware.

6. True.
I'm sure there were some, but I never met any 75 year olds that voted for bush.
If I remember correctly, the largest bush voting group were the 35-50 year olds.

8. Acolytes. Nixon had them even past the day he boarded Marine One.
They're invested and they can't think for themselves.

They made their lousy choice, and they're sticking to it!
