Rasmussen-Hillary Clinton Has The Highest Level Of Core Support
At the other end of the spectrum, the Rasmussen Reports poll found that Hillary Clinton continues to enjoy the highest level of core support—32% say they will definitely vote for her on Election Day 2008. With the exception of Paul and Kucinich, Clinton also has the highest level of core opposition at 44% (a figure matched only by Barack Obama). On a net basis (core support minus core opposition), Clinton (-12), Giuliani (-13), and McCain (-15) come out on top

1. They can try to vote for on Election Day 2008
But she won't be on the ballot. I'll be voting for the Democratic Nominee.

5. That Was The Most Articulate Response Robert Could Fashion
Please cut him some slack...

It's amazing that Obama's "won't vote fors" are as high as Clinton after basking in the media glow while the media treats Hillary Clinton like Susan Smith...

4. Curious that Kucinich's core opposition is higher than Hillary's.

7. That stat alone makes me doubt this poll
Kucinich is barely a blip on the radar screens of most people except HIS core support; it makes no sense that people would have such a repellent attitude toward him.

8. I wouldn't be so sure.
This is the second campaign for Kucinich, so I suspect that more people know who he is than you might suspect.

His core opposition and core support total only 54%, which doesn't seem like an unreasonable "name recognition" total considering that he's been in the public eye for a campaign and a half already.

10. I didn't mean it as a slight, just that I think his "core opposition" is way too high
meaning the poll itself is suspect.

Or maybe it's his hot wife -- do people resent him because he "bagged a babe"??? :sarcasm: I think Elizabeth Kucinich would make a fantastic First Lady and from what I hear, she's just as smart as she is attractive!

11. His core opposition numbers really aren't that far from the others.
Most are within the MOE, so maybe all of the Republicans polled just voted "definitely will vote against" for all of the Democrats. That would mostly explain it.

6. the wording of this is bizarre
With the exception of Paul and Kucinich, Clinton also has the highest level of core opposition (so she actually doesn't have the highest level - Paul or Kucinich does...) at 44% (a figure matched only by Barack Obama). (... and she's tied with Obama... so this means Clinton and Obama have equal core opposition, Kucinich and Paul have MORE core opposition.)

9. Agreed. There appear to be more exceptions than rules in that statement.

Clinton is highest, well except for Obama, and except for Paul. Oh, and except for Kucinich.

I think they were trying way too hard to make Clinton the centerpiece of the sentence.
