Have you signed the Feinstein censure resolution yet?
Over 30,000 people have signed so far. I just came back from the resolutions committee meeting of the California Democratic Party. The committee would not let the censure be considered. They were able to do that because the Resolution was created 2 weeks ago, when Senator Feinstein pushed Mukasey out of committee with Senator Schumer. The committee has the choice to vote on late resolutions or not. There were seventeen late resolutions. They discussed and voted on the other sixteen.
However, three caucuses: the women's caucus, the progressive caucus, and the Irish-American Caucus all voted overwhelmingly to adopt the Censure Resolution, and the party is taking note of what is happening.

This resolution can be brought up again at the spring convention. From what I saw of the resolutions committee's reaction, they will vote it down. But that's no reason to give up, now is it? We ask our senators not to give up when Bush vetoes, so let's act accordingly and not give up when our own party vetoes a conversation.

So why not sign on if you haven't yet. Let's grow the numbers. Senators eventually begin to hear large numbers of Democrats when we come together.

4. You tried and did a great job.
It is sad that a bush-enabler like Feinstein gets to crap all over the party especially the activists, because of DINO leaders. I think this resolution really resonated among progressives all over the country. It is more proof that we have a long way to go to really hold our elected reps accountable. Dinosaurs like the criminal DiFi will eventually be extinct IF...IF we keep up the pressure, and vote for "Better Democrats"..That starts at the county(local) level where these dinosaurs were hatched. Harvey Milk (may he R.I.P.) knew Feinstein was bad. He was fighting to get rid of her. and expose her back then. After his tragic death, she actually capitilized on those horrific events. Everyone should have taken note then, I know those were different times, but Feinstein was always an abomination, and after being in DC all these years she had built a wall of protection around herself that is now protecting her criminality, those Dem leaders protect her, even as she walks hand in hand with THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER, and votes for his shredding of our constitution. I think this censure resolution will resonate for a long time in our minds. I think the California Democratic groups who supported this are HEROES....

THANK YOU

5. Welcome to DU! Signed it myself several days ago. Wish I could
sign it dozens of times! I called her office locally and told her staffer that I'd officially had it with DiFi. If I wanted someone who voted to keep caving and enabling bush, I'd have hired a republi-CON - whom you at least EXPECT to vote that way. OUR reps on OUR side of the aisle should absolutely NOT be doing so!!! And she's now capitulated to bush one time too many.

10. Anybody doing this for Schumer?
The only possible justification I can see for Feinstein's & Schumer's vote is a behind-the-scenes deal in which Mukasey made some promise of blocking Bush/Cheney interference. A deal that couldn't be announced publicly.
