If Hillary wins every state Gore won plus Arkansas and New Hampshire she wins
Last poll I saw had her winning Arkansas by landslide margins against republican opponents. Arkansas is in the bag for Hillary. New Hampshire went to Kerry and has turned very blue and shouldn't be a problem for Hillary.

Iowa and New Mexico were lost to kerry and she'll have to keep them. But she also has good opportunities in Virginia, West Virginia, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Florida. She only needs 1 or 2 of those states to win it all.

It really won't be that difficult.

1. If Democrats vote and the votes are counted, we win. Whoever we run.
That's ALL that has to happen. But it's a lot.

5. We need a candidate who will fight to a win over the next stolen election..
The only candidate with the moxie and organization to take on the next election theft is HILLARY and BILL!

28. I was reading Rove's Newsweek blurb where he said HRC was "brittle"
and that that could be used against her.

Pretty rich coming from the brains behind the most unbendingly rigid and authoritarian President in history.

Oh that's right. When a man does it, it's steely resolve. When a woman does it, it's "brittle."

to come up with that one.."brittle"... peanut brittle?

34. That's so typical really -- take the Rethug's worst characteristic, and
then try to use it against a Democrat.

So they Swift boat a hero, while their own candidate is a deserter.

And they call HRC brittle, while their man is so rigid he has to be kept in a bubble so that he won't crack-up.

7. Actually, I think to win we need some Independents.
If you just say the word "Hillary" around some of them they immediately say "Giuliani."

29. Independent women like her. 75% of New York state women voted for her,
which included large numbers of independents and significant numbers of Republicans upstate.

If she can do well with women in the rest of the country, it wouldn't matter that fewer men vote for her. Women comprise 54% of the electorate.

35. We only need 13 million inds. Republicans need over 30 million.
72 million Dems. 55 million Reps. 42 million inds.

On straight arithmetic, we don't have to give a damn what anyone else thinks.

4. If Obama wins every state Gore won plus Arkansas and New Hampshire he wins
If Edwards wins every state Gore won plus Arkansas and New Hampshire he wins/

If Biden wins every state Gore won plus Arkansas and New Hampshire he wins

Same for Kucinich, Richardson, Dodd and Gravel!

You could also play with the electoral maps from 1996, 1992 or 1972.

11. More mud-slinging....
So you are implying that all of Obama's campaign workers can be bought off? And that is substantively different from the Swift Boaters attacks on Kerry just how?....

I can say unequivocally it won't happen with the Clintons!

21. This is how Ohio voted in 2004 for a decorated war veteran who volunteered to be a moving target.
Edited on Sun Nov-18-07 11:15 AM by HughBeaumont

All of that grey represents Bewsh supporting counties.

Now, can anyone imagine ANYthing changing should the former First Lady named "Clinton" gets nominated, someone who everyone in them grey areas have been trained to hate since 1993? Someone who is unapologetically free trade when Ohio has lost so many jobs (6,800 last month, in case anyone was asking) these past 7 years? Someone who wants to continue this war up past 2013? Someone who still wants Big-Insurance health care? Someone who thinks national security is more important than civil rights???

If anyone thinks Hillary, who realistically is going to divide the left and center (and it's unbelievably naive to think she won't), not pick up fence sitters and mobilize every backwoods, hellfahr 'n' brimstone rapture-right nutcase out from under their porch steps in droves for the sole purpose of "stickin' it to them anti-Murkin commeh Clintons once and fer all!!!!", is going to turn Ohio . . . My GOD they need to wake up and smell the damned coffee.

19. That initiative is dead in the water.
Even IF it makes it to the ballot and even IF it wins. It will be challenged in court and will not take effect.
