Here's what's going to happen on Alternative Minimum Tax:
Democrats will bitch and moan that we need a sur-tax or whatever on the wealthy to make up the revenue. Republicans will fight back with class warfare. We'll both agree that because 6 people that are not super-wealthy will get hit by AMT, we need to get rid of it. Both sides will say we're running out of time and we have to compromise. AMT will be suspended for a year and nothing will be enacted to make up the revenue. We'll end up borrowing the money (hey, what's another Trillion?) and there you go!
