Senator Barack Obama is using nicotine gum to help him quit smoking. Now the question is, can he quit the gum?"

21. That's easy...they'll say obama is "naive and frankly irresponsible" and
point out that Hillary said this.

They will point out all the votes he shared with Hillary. And try to paint him as a black hillary!

You heard here first. The Reps have invested all their energy into opposing hillary. If they fail...or rather if we fail to nominate her, then they will have to settle for trying to attack the others and try to associate them with her!

What else can they do? Without Hillary, they are sunk!

27. "Barack HUSSEIN Obama"...
along with at least a few "accidental" OSAMA's thrown in for good measure. The "madras" school stuff. Closet-Muslim will be implied, intimated and probably shouted out-loud by the repugs. And, whatever he and his family may have done in the past will be aired out. Hopefully this will be to NO avail. I can't imagine too many Democrats who would buy into it, though some secretly will. I take it for granted that repugs are racists and bigots so I don't think he will be able to garner many "Obama republicans" to his side.

All of this is moot, since I don't think he has much of a chance of winning the nomination. His inexperience is reason enough for me not to vote for him in the primary.

with them, there's less there there. They'll have to resort to character assassination rather than the issues. But that's okay because, they'll be in a better position to strike back. Kerry's being swiftboated isn't what hurt him--it was his apparent reluctance to defend himself from it.

31. His middle name: Hussein
Only a total idiot would keep a name like that and expect to to win in a national election.
It was bad judgement not to have legally carved it off years ago. The Repugs would titter, but it would not be as big a deal. In fact, the whole name should have been changed to bland anglo.
I say this coming from a family who also changed their name after arriving in America over a
hundred years ago. In Rome do as the blah blah. But it is true.

http://216.144.232.220/media/press/07/pr_03-06-07.php

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/barack-obamas-church-ultra-left-and-afrocentric

<snip>
Surprisingly Barack Obama’s Achilles Heel might very well be his choice of Christian churches. Despite its mainstream name the "United Church of Christ" holds many beliefs that many Americans would find highly questionable. The United Church of Christ was formed in 1957 and is estimated to have approximately 1.2 million members. The Church itself gives local congregations a great deal of control over individual doctrines. Mr. Obama and his family belong to Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. It is always refreshing to see a politician who is active in his local church; however, in Mr. Obama’s case his choice of congregations might raise some eyebrows.

Trinity United Church of Christ is a church which seems on the surface to exclude people based on race. In short, Trinity United Church of Christ is segregationist. The Church’s Web site declares, "We are a congregation which is unashamedly Black…We are an African people, and remain ‘true to our native land,’ the mother continent, the cradle of civilization." In this declaration of belief Mr. Obama’s church seems to make it very clear that they are not welcoming of other Christians based solely on their race. If a white politician were a member of a church which declared itself to be “unashamedly white” he would be rightfully run out of public service.

<snip>
As Mr. Obama’s popularity grows, it is predictable that Hillary Clinton’s supporters in the mainstream media might begin to report on some of the more disturbing beliefs of Senator Obama. In short, Senator Obama’s lack of a track record which may seem so beneficial this early in the campaign may become his undoing when the American public and rational voters begin to feel the heat and teach Mr. Obama a lesson in real world politics.
