Obama gains big - Clinton drops 10 points MSN/Reuters
This has been posted a couple times, but hasn't gotten much attention, so I'm posting it again. All I see on the "greatest page" is how Hillary is kicking ass...

"
updated 7:08 a.m. PT, Wed., Nov. 21, 2007
WASHINGTON - The 2008 Democratic presidential race has tightened, with Barack Obama gaining on front-runner Hillary Clinton six weeks before the first contest, according to a national Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday."

2. Thanks for posting this again. Just saw where she was losing even
more in New Hamshire now in addition to Iowa.

It is Obama kicking ass in reality.

The Hillary bashers are and have been living in a fantasy world.

4. I don't know if he's kicking ass, but at least it makes her
"inevitability" look a little less inevitable, and I'm grateful for that!

6. C'mon - this belongs on the Greatest page along with the
"Hillary's winning everything" posts....a few K & R's PLEASE! I'm still leaning Obama, but I actually don't care WHO it is that's sneaking up behind her, as long as it's someone else!

7. if edwards fades, obama will surge
i predict that whoever becomes the alternative to hillary wins.
Hillary's support is weak. She is the 2nd choice of nobody. Take away the inevitability arguement, along with the correlary that not supporting hillary is to follow repuke talking points, and she could drop like a rock in a pond if her lead becomes close and the other candidate(s) get a second look.

For a long time, nobody was paying much attention....and about all they noticed was hillary was the inevitable front runner. As we get closer, especially if the race tightens, more attention will go to the alternative candidate. In this scenario I believe Hillary loses.

The biggest questions to me are 1) will there be one clear alternative to hillary, and 2) if so, who will it be?

9. I think either Edwards or Obama, although I'd prefer Biden
I think we're at the point where almost anything can happen, but Edwards just picked up the support of two of my favorite musicians - Jackson Browne, and Bonnie Raitt, and JB was initially for Obama, - they're in IOWA stumping for him. The closer it gets, the more interesting it gets...

As it says on the 'post a thread' page, "good citizens check for dupes".

17. A few things were missing in the others - like the 10 points part
which I felt people should see. I realize it's not what you want for your candidate, but, no nanny needed, thank you.

16. National polls are still pretty meaningless on both sides.
Iowa is going to be what shapes the perceptions of the next few primaries after that.

18. Not blaming the OP, but the headline is bullshit
Obama didn't "gain big" he gained two points.

Clinton did "lose big" dropping eight points

The margin between candidates is the "wind chill" of political journalism
