Poll question: Does anyone else find terms like Hillaryworlder and Hillbot kinda offensive?
Edited on Fri Nov-23-07 09:27 PM by Skip Intro
Regardless of who you support, do you think it would be of benefit to us all to rise above personal insults?

3. I've seem a LOT worse today than "Hillbot."
Edited on Fri Nov-23-07 09:39 PM by AlertLurker
And I was mildly amused by "Hillaryworlder," since there are some here who not only support her, but will defend her MADLY to the DEATH, no matter what...

I've seen "Bidenbot," too...

"Obamaian" doesn't seem to offend any of his supporters...

But someone mentioned Kucinich's "brownshirts" in a thread earlier and I kinda saw red for a minute...

Anyone know a (mildly) offensive term for "Edwards supporter?"

"Edwardian" has a strange historical context..."the Confessor?"

Hmmmmm...."Doddite?" (like "Deadite" from "Bruce Campbell vs. the Army of Darkness."

HAHAHAHAHA...."Richardsonian????"

On edit - if anyone finds this post offensive, I'll erase it - I'm only goofin' around, eh?

9. Indeed, and Hillaryworld (er) suggests mental illness - lacking a firm grip on reality.
It really is rather insulting to fellow DUers to talk to each other that way. I don't see the benefit.

12. The Hillbot name came around because of Hillary supporters saying the same things over and over
with no new arguments.

So it's not really offensive, only an observation one can agree with or not.

I haven't seen "Hillaryworlder" in context, anybody got a link to that one?

17. They can not run on the issues because what they want is at odds
with what is the the best interest of the American people. All that is left is the muck and mud at the bottom of the barrel. The reason we have to hold our nose when we vote for the least objectionable of the corrupt lot.

Contrary to what most people think, we do not choose our leaders. They are chosen for us and we just vote for one of their clones.

18. Just as offensive as "Hillary Hater", but less often seen 'round these parts.
I see far more of H. Clinton's "supporters" attempting
to use that sort of childish labeling as a conversation-stopping
trump card.

22. I don't mind if someone calls me a Kucinichista or an Obamaniac or Edwardsian. If I supported Hillary
I would not be surprised or offended if I was called a Hillbot or some similar name.

Those who complain about the term Hillbot etc. are the same people who whined incessantly that we couldn't call her "Hillary" (and that to do so was sexist) despite the fact that Hillary's website refers to her as "Hillary."

PS I think the occasional reference to Hitlary goes too far and is not funny or appropriate.
