John Edwards: Thank you for making poverty the centerpiece of a Presidential campaign. Your message of the inequity of the "Two Americas" will not be forgotten. Thank you for sticking up for the "little" guy against giant corporations.

Chris Dodd: Thank you for your long and distinguished service in the United States Senate. I don't know as much about you as some of the other candidates, but I was impressed with the directness, passion, and honesty of your answers in the debates.

Joe Biden: Thank you for brining your foreign policy knowledge and expertise gained from years spent on the foreign relations committee to this great debate. Your honesty, straight talk, and even bluntness is an asset to our Party and our nation. Thanks for sticking up for our veterans.

Hillary Clinton: Thank you for your advocacy of children's rights throughout your career. It truly does take a village to raise a child.

Dennis Kucinich: Thank you for being a voice for those who often feel they have no voice.

Bill Richardson: Thank you for you hard work negotiating with foreign leaders, as well as the expertise you bring to the formulation of our national energy policy, which is quite possibly the greatest and most important challenge we now face.

1. My dear calteacherguy...
I applaud your efforts to bring some positive vibes to this contentious campaign season!

We really do need to see all the positive sides of our candidates...

Thank you!

K&R

2. Thanks
I appreciate your effort to be positive. I have been trying to encourage others to do the same thing.

As a Biden supporter, I'm proud to say that very few if any of his backers on this board have resorted to trash talk. I hope that this continues.

-Paige

3. Thank you calteacherguy for allowing me to be the 5th vote
I think you pretty much summed it up!

Any Dem is a better choice than any Pub. Hell, I hate Hillery but I would vote for her in a minute against any Republic.

4. Obama; you gave a smoking speech at the 2004 convention.
You've brought a lot into this campaign- energy, vitality, a passion about Iraq that we need. I don't agree with you on everything, but I think your heart is in the right place and the Party is lucky to have you; if you don't get it this year you'll be one to watch in the future, no question.

5. Thank you, calteacherguy -- and it makes me realize that we DO owe thanks
to John Edwards for having the courage to actually use the word "poverty".

I've complimented each of the other candidates at various times, but never Edwards. In the future I'll listen to him with a more open mind.

Beautiful post - you make DUers proud!

8. You have smeared Clinton in many threads, so this is disingenuous,
to say the least

You can fool some of the people some of the time

Nice try though:rofl:

9. K&R from another Obama supporter. And I just K&Red a great article about Hillary....
and posted yesterday the article about Biden serving coffee in Iowa. I like all of the candidates, and give them props and congrats -- and my support of Obama doesn't keep me from recognizing what I see as a misstep on his part, the same as I recognize a misstep from another candidate. I don't want to trash any of these candidates; I want one of them elected in November, '08.

12. Great thread Calteacher
They all do bring something of importance to the table and without this diversity, some issues might be brushed aside.

One of these people is going to be our nominee. We would be wise to acknowledge their positive traits.
