Giuliani, Thompson now only viable GOP candidates
I just finished watching some clips from the debate at CNN's website.

After a few minutes it hit me.
Rudy and Fred were THE ONLY CANDIDATES WEARING AMERICAN FLAG LAPEL PINS!

So the rest are toast.
I predict a Rudy-Fred ticket.
Fred even looks vice-presidential, in the Dick Cheney manner.
;-)

1. I Don't See Any Viable GOP Candidates
They are all badly designed empty suits, leaking oil, showing signs of shoddy repair, bent frames, and backfiring.

2. I don't agree.
Huckleberry is the one to watch...and be worried about.

I used to to think it would be a Ghouliani-Huckleberry ticket. Now i'm thinking Huckleberry-Ghouliani.

4. I wish they would stop wasting everybody's time by putting ANYONE up for 2008.

It just shows you what cockeyed optimists those Republicans are.

9. if you don't think a republican can win, you are a cockeyed optimist....

Take a good look at George Bush. And idiot. The worst in history. Yet, the Reps were able to get him, one way or the other, into the White House.

What makes you think they couldn't do the same for Huckabee?

Huckabee is electable. I don't like anything he says, but he has electability and he showed it last night.

He is the type of guy people will view as honest and likeable. If we put up against him someone who is viewed as unlikeable and triangulating....well, we would be just playing into their strengths.

I think Biden is the safest candidate in terms of victory in November. Hands down.

5. Fred Thompson Is an Idiot
I rarely make such personal attacks, but the guy really seems pretty stupid. I can't imagine what he would add to a ticket. And I can't imagine that he'd give up playing tough guys on TV for playing second fiddle on a losing ticket.

6. But, but, they wore a flag lapel pin. Of course that makes them the best
:sarcasm:

I think the OP was pointing out how stupid it was when the GOP made such a big deal about Obama saying he wasn't going to wear his flag pin every day. And now the republican candidates aren't wearing it either.

8. Try adding "sarcasm" in your post
It might help those who are humor challenged. :hi:

10. I thought that would be emphasizing the obvious.
But I guess I was wrong.
