Thx from Iraq to America
Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 09:32 PM by gulliver
People of America
USA

Dear Buddies,

We Iraqis just wanted to thank you so so much! After all we have heard about how most of your people feel about Muslims, imagine how surprised we were to find your people ready to sacrifice so much on our behalf. Who would have expected your seemingly limitless willingness to spend American money and sacrifice even your very lives for us, a humble nation of Muslim strangers?

Friends--may we be so bold?--your spirit of self-sacrifice is all the more admirable given the unmet needs of your own countrymen. What nation would dig so deep into its own pockets and literally put a mortgage on its own future to help strangers? What nation would let its own people suffer so much for lack of education and health care that we in Iraq might have a better life?

The answer is America, a nation led by the Greatest President of the United States ever to wear the crown, George W. Bush. We honor America and its Great President Bush. One day, many statues of your beloved President will be erected in town squares across Iraq. His gallant face will shine upon a grateful Iraqi people from atop his mighty Arabian steed. He is and will always be the true father of our Islamic Republic, praise Allah. Your pride in him must be vast.

In closing, we the Iraqi people cannot overstate our gratitude for your generosity and sacrifice. We promise Iraq will be every bit the ally to you that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are. And given the great friendship that President Bush has engendered between our two countries, our peoples will undoubtedly meet face to face much more often in the spirit of friendly mutual tourism.

Love,

The Iraqi People
