why are Kucinich supporters attacking Edwards so much???
I have seen the most brutal and inaccurate attacks of Edwards coming from Kucinich. They both share almost the same message. They both have healthcare plans that would expand medicare to everyone. They both want to change the system.

I don't get it.

Why wouldnt they attack Hillary more? Or Obama who wants to work with the right wing?

1. I don't think we're attacking Edwards -- we're generally supporting Edwards as a number 2 choice.
The tension between the Kucinich campaign and the Edwards campaign is because they appeal to the same supporters.

Do you really think Hillary is fighting for the same people as Dennis?

4. Not this Kucinich supporter

I will not vote for Edwards in either the primary or the general. Dennis has a history of fighting the good fight. Edwards is a Johnny come lately who was as passionate four years ago about his centrist and conservative positions as he now apparently is about his newfound "liberal" positions. He's just a bit glib, ingratiating and greasy for my tastes, and I've found him to be so since he first came to my attention as a potential Gore VP.

Kucinich really wants to bring change; Edwards wants to create the illusion of change. America, sadly, isn't ready for real change, either through Dennis or another agent. America still wants to have its cake and eat it too. Kucinich loves America, and beyond that, he doesn't see America as the center of the world. John Edwards, on the other hand, simply loves John Edwards. I'd vote for Joe Lieberman before I'd vote for Edwards.

2. They are competing for votes
In 2004, Edwards ran as a centrist/moderate populist. This time he's running (so far) as a leftist/progressive populist. That's Dennis's natural base. It stands to reason that what is happening is to be expected.

3. Dennis himself has been criticizing Edwards,
actually, he's gone after him more than the others.

6. I think you already figured it out.
It's in your first paragraph. Kucinich wants to walk around saying he's the only one that supports this or that.

9. Maybe you can post some examples of the inaccurate attacks?
When I see something that I feel is inaccurate regarding Kucinich I usually try and correct it by providing links to the pertinent information.

The other reason for Kucinich supporters to challenge the record of Edwards is due to the fact that Edwards is now saying many things that are inconsistent with how he voted in the past.
