2. Thanks - I'm surprised it slipped my mind WHAT it was because I called both

my Senators about it.

Do you know the status/schedule? I went to senate.org and can't seem to find any info or a schedule i know how to decipher.

I've just been suprised that this important issue keeps getting ignored and shuffled to the back here at D.U. One would think it should be up front for all to continue to remember and act upon.

5. It doesn't seem to be headline news, either. Not garnering the press that

some of the other votes have.

I'm only aware of it because of an ACLU e-mail I received, and some mention here on DU.

They obviously didn't vote today, but they often convene on Saturday, don't they?

I'll see what I can find out.

They are on recess - both last week and this week

They are coming back this coming week. The last vote they had was Nov 16. (To keep Bush from making recess appointments they are having some about 5 minute sessions - where that open the Senate, then close it.
