9. True, but he hasn't gained a point in NH for ages.
By the time Hillary comes down to where Obama is Edwards may well be ahead of Obama. (Unless he can break out from his capped level of low 20s.)

13. Not true. In the Nov. 20 CNN/WMUR poll, Obama gained 2 points while Clinton dropped 9 points.
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 07:05 PM by ClarkUSA
That translates to a net 11 point gain for Obama, who's been steadily trending up for a month now while Clinton has been trending down. Edwards is back in third place way outside the MOE, so I doubt he'll make much gains by Jan. 8 unless he wins Iowa.

(CNN) -- Hillary Clinton's lead in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is shrinking in New Hampshire.

Most observers say Sen. Hillary Clinton did well in last week's debate against Sen. Barack Obama and others.

The senator from New York saw a 23-point lead over her closest rival in September decrease to 14 points in a new CNN/WMUR New Hampshire presidential primary poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire.

When asked who they would support if the primary were held today, 36 percent of likely Democratic primary voters backed Clinton, 22 percent supported Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois and 13 percent favored former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina.

In September, when CNN last polled in New Hampshire, Clinton was at 43 percent, with Obama at 20 percent and Edwards at 12 percent.

3. Faux is one of Hillary's best polls, but she still only manages 30%?
Now she's approaching Iowa numbers in New Hampshire; not good at all for her. Richardson's 12% could be low; meaning that this thing is wide open now in NH as well!

12. Poor JE still cannot attract liberals or progressives
Everyone's campaign strategy is impotent in the face of prejudice.

Hillary is a big liberal... Fox news says so.

Obama is black, so he must be a super liberal.

Edwards is a southern white guy, so he must be a moderate.

Everyone is getting fooled by themselves.

14. But he's the most likable!
Is likeable 14% 19% 39% 8% 14%

Iraq war 26% 20% 19% 15% 1% 3% 12%
Married Men 24% 19% 21% 12% 1% 4% 15%
46-54 28% 23% 20% 11% 2% 3% 11%
55-64 23% 25% 19% 16% 2% 3% 8%
Moderate 27% 22% 17% 14% 2% 4% 12%
Independent 18% 28% 20% 17% 1% 3% 8%

The boomers like him, married men, anti-war voters, moderates, and independents. There are lots of independents in NH. He's got to convert that likeable factor to votes. They don't have a category for progressive though. I wouldn't assume it is the same as liberal, with the various interpretations of liberal. And Hillary calls herself progressive. :eyes:

5. The big news this week is Edwards creeping in NH. This is the third 15%+ poll
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 05:29 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Hillary has drop a ton of support in NH and Obama hasn't gained any of it. Richardson and Edwards are the beneficiaries.

Obama has a ceiling and a floor. He doesn't budge from his 21-23%.

it'll only be temporary. Especially since it doesnt appear to have anything to do with the Clinton campaign.
