Iraq Policy Losses Cloud Pelosi's Year
By ERICA WERNER (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press

"The war in Iraq is the biggest disappointment for us, I mean the inability to stop the war in Iraq," Pelosi, 67 and in her 11th House term, said in a recent round-table interview.

At the beginning of 2007 she believed Republican support for the war would erode. It didn't. In fact, it solidified as the U.S. surge that began in the summer helped reduce the violence.

"They have stayed wedded to the president on this," Pelosi said.
.............

Pelosi's inability to force Bush's hand on Iraq made her a target of an unlikely group: anti-war liberals.

...............

"The war, the war, the war - it eclipses everything that we do here," she said...........

2. The inability to stop the war in Iraq
is entirely the fault of nancy Pelosi. As speaker of the House she has the power to stop the funding for this war. She has the power to allow reso0lutions to reach the floor.
When she says Congress does not have the ability to stop this war she is talking out her big fat ass!

Yes, I agree. Fuck her and the horse she rode in on. Now, IMPEACH her ass too!

11. That is the payload of this propaganda.
The idea that they really tried hard, but just couldn't do it. So it's not really their fault, and we shouldn't hold them accountable.

3. I think a more grave error she made
was taking impeachment "off the table". That basically gave the Bushies carte blanche to continue their tyrannical ways, knowing that the Pukes would always support them and that their misdeeds would never be investigated in impeachment hearings. Smooth move, Nance!

10. That was not an error on her part
That was a coldly calculated plan at work.

4. First off
its not a war its WAR CRIME...its a god damned illegal and immoral occupation. And your biggest fuck up Ms Pelosi is not holding this criminal administration accountable for their many crimes. These crimes have resulted in the death of a million innocent Iraqis and Afghanis and nearly 4000 American soldiers not to mention 20,000 injured soldiers. And you refuse to confront them and do your sworn duty of proper over sight of these sick bastards. So yes...fuck you...get the fuck out of the way and let those who are willing and able to take the criminal administration down. You are either not capable or you have something to hide...not sure which it is.

8. She can't impeach
because a lot of information about her complicity would be brought to light. It has already been brought to light, and then dismissed by the media, that she was informed of the torture being done to prisoners several years ago. Her and several other congresspeople were aware of it and did absolutely nothing about it. The silence and indeed agreement by them to the torture makes them just as guilty as the shrub and the shooter. They need to be impeached along with bush and cheney. That is why nothing will be done about it. At least until after the election.

After the election, they can all be investigated, indicted and forced to stand trial in federal court. There is no statute of limitations on treason.
After the trial it would also be allowable to ship them to the Hague for war crimes trials. After being found guilty there they could receive the harshest punishment available for crimes against humanity. If I remember correctly that would be death.

13. Never. And I'm convinced that the reason they won't impeachis
is to avoid embarrassing HRC during her run.

15. When I asked her aide how we would know if the was progress
in Iraq (he was explaining to us that Nancy wanted to let Bush hang himself with his own benchmarks), he couldn't answer me. I asked him what the hanging mechanism would be and he couldn't answer that. Now, this is a very smart, decent and attractive human being who has in the past done favors for me.

Now, we're at the point where I can't even call the office and Nancy has officially said CPers are not her constituents.

This whole thing has been so badly mishandled, it's unbelievable.

and now faking how terrible she feels about it.

What a lying fraud.

17. Pelosi and Reid Have Let Us Down
You can't win if you don't fight. We need new, tough leaders in both houses of Congress.
