Kit coming to save Giuliani

Republican Rudy Giuliani is mired in the bottom tier in Iowa, even though he continues to lead national preference polls.

But wait! Good news a-comin'. Who's that masked man riding across the horizon? Is it....could it be?

Goodness golly. It is!

KIT!

Kit, as in Kit Bond, the four-term Missouri senator is scheduled to be in Iowa Wednesday, the day before Iowa's over-hyped caucuses.

Bond, a national co-chair of Giuliani's campaign, will be in the former New York mayor's Iowa headquarters in Clive at 10 a.m. At noon he'll be in Cedar Rapids greeting volunteers and at 1 p.m. he'll be at an Iowa City phone bank.

Giuliani, however, won't be in Iowa. In fact, he's expected to be in Miami come caucus night.

is he old enough to retire to Florida? he should think about staying there.

1. I'm sure the good
people of IA will be so impressed that they will turn out in droves for Giuliani.

I suspect most people don't even know who Kit Bond is. I had to think about it for a minute.

3. i don't understand why
guiliani is ahead in the polls. what qualifies him to be president? so he moved crime out of new york city and pushed it into queens. he was told after the '93 world trade attack not to put the command center there. he did it anyway. what did he do to protect new york from terrorists?

so on and after 9/11 he walked around the streets and went to funerals. wouldn't any decent mayor have done the same?

people need to "wake up" and see that he is not the hero they think he is.

9. Being at the
right place at the right time (and it is painful that 9/11 was the 'right' time for anyone) does not qualify one to be president.

He and Bush have used 9/11 far too long for political gain.

My sons were both in NYC on 9/11 and either one of them could do a better job than either Rudy or George.

5. Sadly, the Ghoul's hand-picked SC campaign chair won't be there to help him
T-Rav (Thomas Ravenel, who was also the Treasurer of the state of South Carolina, was busted for cocaine distribution soon after accepting the Guiliani gig.
