No matter what happens in the upcoming days
please, let us be at peace with one another, and swallow any 'i told you so's while ignoring lapping up spilled milk and spoiled grapes.

try to find the top 10 or 5 or 2 things -- even just two things -- about the Democrat candidates you will *not* vote for, that you think are positive about those candidates anyway. and post them.

please spread good thoughts, not mud; because in the end, we're all going to have to live under this.

thank you for listening.

13. Thank you all, for your welcome.
I just think that the amount of hatred here and elsewhere in the blogosphere is offputting. I appreciate those who speak with one another, and don't shout at one another/shout down one another. I'm not going to vote for Hillary Clinton if she's the nominee for the General Election, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to write a million anti-Hillary threads about her. I think she's sincere about children. I've heard that many New Yorkers like her because she dealt with their specific issues personally. Those are good things.

I don't like how she's handled this nomination process, at all. That matters to me. Luckily, what's happening within the black online community is a revisiting and reflection of what really happened during the Clinton years.

Anyway, why not focus on the good as well as the bad? Everyone is going to have to work with one another anyway, after all is said and done, so why burn bridges within the grassroots?

Too many people seem ready to burn bridges. Too many others seem ready to burn fellow members with those bridges. That's offputting.

4. How very nice of you. I will support all but one of our candidates
and as I will not "support" that one and violate my conscience I will post nothing about that one other than factual issue and character observations.I will not dig for positive points on an anathema but I will not hunt for anything salacious or scurrilous either.

9. I think THAT candidate is too divisive to worry about.
Would you refrain from voting in the GE?

Take heart saracat, there will be whole new crop of Dems in the House and Senate too, with new leadership, to boot.

15. Thank you. It's less nice than trying to be a realist.
Over at daily kos, it had gotten to the pont where people were attacking each other as 'bad people' for supporting a particular candidate -- and then not only attacking them, but troll rating them for supporting a particular candidate or raising questions about their own. A lot of good people lost trusted user status over intra-party partisan b.s.

Free speech was stifled in the name of Hate The Other and You're Either With Us Or Against Us.

They seemed to forget, at the end of the day, most belonged to the same party and those who didn't would usually be independents who weren't going to be swung by scorched earth political fundamentalism. How can one treat members of one's own party in a 'You're Either With Us or Against Us' way? why would one want to?

Splintering only feels good if you are fatalist and want to martyr yourself. I don't think this country can afford any more splintering or fatalism.

Well, I think it's time to come together again. I may change my mind about Hillary. At this point, I don't think so. But I'd like someone to reach out to me, and everyone else, and mend bridges instead of installing fences. This is my own attempt.

10. Let's face it, the ONLY fatally divisive people here are the anti-Hillary bigots.
I'm so glad they'll be leaving the party soon.

11. Yes... (heavy sarchasm alert)
Won't it be great to be rid of all those people that want a candidate willing to stand up to the corporations. I mean sheesh who needs issues or populism when you have celebrity power and the DLC. I love the fact that the punditocracy picked Obama vs. Hillary two years ago for us. It really saved a lot of time from my busy schedule, now I can watch America's next Top Model and reruns of the Sitcoms on the other station I watch. Oh yeah and O'reilly too. I love him a lot. I don't care that he is outspoken and rips on Dem's a lot. He entertains me and he is good friends with Joe Lieberman.

Anyhow...boo to all you crazy wild radical hippie freak pinko green lefty tree hugging weirdos. I hope you all go away. And yeah to everyone that loves Hillary as much as I do.

-----------

I really need to go back to watching FKN newz until the Daily show is back.

14. Why are they bigots?
and why do you assume they're leaving the party?

why would you want them to?

how does anyone leaving the party strengthen the party, would it not strengthen your rivals instead?

12. I agree
but I don't think it's going to happen. There are some really pissed off and ubber-sensitive people here.

Politics is really unpleasant sometimes.
