Poll question: Why are so many Republicans pulling for Obama to win the Democratic Primary?
...even to the extent that we're now hearing how so many Republicans are caucusing for him in Iowa?

2. As a Biden supporter I agree. Poor repukes, they just never look
at the big picture... The worst of our Dems, whoever that might be, is still ten times better than one of theirs.

27. Yep, it's pretty obvious...
There's no way in hell the majority of voters that actually vote--and of course, votes that are actually counted--are going to select an African American as President. I'm sorry to destroy the fantasy--unfortunately, there's no f__king way. The Repukes would love for Obama to be the candidate--hell, he might as well be a woman too.

And speaking of women...they would love for Hillary to be the candidate--with her, they win either way--if the majority of selected votes go to Hillary they win--she's a bonafide DLC/corporatist/Repuke light. If she loses the general election then they get to put in place one their whores.

It's a WIN WIN WIN!

to change registration and go through the long confusing caucus just to sabatoge our presidential nomination.

5. Republicans are so damn transparent and predictable
They want to throw red meat to their racist and sexist base by hoping for Obama or HRC, because they know none of their candidates aren't worth voting FOR. So they have to motivate the base to vote AGAINST the "other."

They DON'T want Edwards and they sure as hell don't want Biden, either.

They , like their patron saint Murdoch, really want to maintain the status quo.

Why do the Repubs want Edwards?

12. That one's easier. Edwards is protectionist and isolationist and many
Republicans are entirely characterized by those two positions.

14. Only a few tho. OTOH his peers on the same show were pointig out the MANY repubs caucusing for Obama
& even Gregory implied that finding repubs caucusing for Edwards was like finding a needle in a haystack. He made it sound like it was a total suprise that he came across any repubs working on behalf of Edwards, while he wasn't surprised at all to hear about so many repubs working to caucus for Obama.

Why do the Repubs want Edwards?

They don't. Read your own post where you said Gregory only met "a few Bush Republican voters who are now going to caucus for Edwards".

9. Repukes are notorious for switching parties in open primaries
and caucuses. Why do you think there is such a discrepancy between R and D caucus participants in IOWA of all places? After switching parties they then go on to vote for whomever they feel will be the "lesser" or more easily defeated Dem candidate. I had a friend ask me to vote for McCain v Bush in their primary. I asked my friend who she was going to vote for in the general election and guess who she was going to vote for..??? Needless to say we are no longer friends.

17. I'll take choice 4...
They realize that with their current stock of candidates they haven't got much of a chance, and would rather have a uniter Dem like Obama then a divider like Hillary. And, they might not like most of his policies.. but they at least like the guy!

30. Republicans themselves are saying it, & the corporate MSM that wants Obama to win is running with it
Turn on any TV news station, MSNBC, CNN, take your pick. Go to a coffee house and mingle with some pukes if any of them happen to be there. You'll hear it first hand.

Take a look at the scientific poll results here. They overwhelmingly tell the reason why. :smoke:

unless they're discouraged because of the results.

And they believe that racism will be quite effective come this November.
