It's not only college kids who are eligible to caucus tonight.
17 year olds who will be 18 by the time of the general election, are also eligible. That's a fair number of potential voters. I wonder if a significant number of them will come out to caucus. If they do, it would definitely help Obama

1. I bet they don't show up
They never do. But if they do, it will be a huge win for Obama.

4. you're probably right. I happen to know a lot of engaged kids
here in Vermont, and they'd definitely go for Obama. But it's not fair to say they never turn out. They did in record numbers in 2004. And Obama has a lot of appeal to young voters.

3. I am still a senior in High School in Iowa...
there is a fair number of people that i know who will caucus tonight and won't be for Obama but for Edwards...Obama has a good standing in my school but its rivaled by Edwards. Hillary's name does get mentioned by not very often along with Kucinich. This could just be a trend at my school where we have an amazing gov't teacher who makes it enjoyable to be well edjucated in politics.

5. Good for you. I'm so glad you're engaged
It's wonderful to hear. And it's fantastic that you have a great gov't teacher. Have fun tonight, and drag along as many friends as you can!
