Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 11:45 PM by Herman Munster
That basically that poll ends up being a self-fufilling prophecy, regardless of it's actual validlity. That the intense media coverage with that one poll basically shifted the campaign coverage and a lot of undecided and second choicers went to Obama.

It all changed on a dime. As we all know Monday and Tuesday, the momentum clearly appeared to be with Edwards and Clinton. Then that poll comes out and everything changed.

I wonder if that poll showed Edwards or Clinton with that kind of lead, would they have won? Did one poll change the election and course of history? hmmmmmmmmm.

1. People like to vote for a winner.
It could have influenced some undecideds.

2. You mean women endorsing a woman brought what out, exactly?

3. The Des Moines Register itself backed Clinton.
That wasn't enough, though, was it? Why did readers go against the paper?

Your post is kind of insulting to the people of Iowa.
I understand they take their caucus votes very seriously.

4. Look at the exit polls
Obama led across the board. This wasn't a one poll victory.
