Be careful Obama supporters. Remember, most of the supporters of either Clinton or Edwards will go to the other if one drops out unless you learn how to stop pissing them off. Together they have 60% and your guy has 37. You're supposed to make "believers" out of their supporters but so far you're just acting like a gang of thugs.

71. It's called 'Confirmation Bias'
IMHO. We let through information which tends to confirm our biases, and filter out that which contradicts them. As an Obama supporter, I look through these threads and see a preponderance of anti-Obama rhetoric. I suppose its the same for supporters of other candidates.

If you want to lend a hand to your candidate in NH with the undecideds who may frequent DU, you may want to lay off the devisive, inflammatory posts.

the DEMS won tonight as exemplified by the turnout... We all won.

Even Hillary recognized that in her gracious speech.

I have no candidate at present, so I can say this with confidence that it is somewhat objective: there is plenty of gloating going on, and it isn't pretty. You simply choose not to see it.

29. Failure to declare support by no means makes you "objective."
I have not seen "gloating" beyond what I would expect from any supporter of any candidate that had the night Obama did. As a caveat, of course, I may have missed the odd asswipe, but those exist in every population. Care to show me examples of this widespread Obamite inappropriate behavior?

I wouldn't equate a few "Ha Ha" douchebags on a message board with Khmer Rouge on a hangover day. That's a very weird line of reasoning if you ask me.

Full disclosure: I'm an Obama supporter, but I'm not blind to the fact that there are plenty of nasty-ass idiots who claim to be the same.

EDIT: I also don't like the idea of "winners & losers" with regards to DU. The only "losers" I care about are the Republicans. We're ALL going to be winners when the eventual Democratic nominee wins the general election in November.

Start with a ridiculous comparison in the subject line -- Khmer Rouge Underground !!! -- pit the supporters of the top three candidates against each other then leave, without adding one bit of additional input.

(You also have it backwards, whatever the tone of the concession speeches, Edwards and Obama are the "Change" candidates, and their supporters have more in common with each other, as a rule. The Clinton folks are favoring win-at-any-cost nostalgia, and probably have the least progressive agenda.

Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 04:13 AM by Downtown Hound
Not based on the actions of a few silly posters on a website. I'm an Edwards supporter who likes Obama very much, and some of the pro-Edwards posts I've seen here in the past few days have really embarrassed me. So it's not just Obama supporters or Clinton supporters or whoever else that does this.

Pick you candidate based on the candidate. Not your experience with a few anonymous people on the internet.
