Huckabee isn't your run of the mill Repuke who gets 9% of the black vote. He's very dangerous, and will be a difficult nominee to run against. If he's nominated.

2. Who was he running against?
We know he's not the normal Repuke. Thats why the Repukes don't like him. He;s considered liberal on economic issues. This isn't news. Why do you think the conservatives aren't crazy about him.

3. This is in no way representative...
...but I've spoken to a large number of black people around L. A. who support the Huckster. The big attractions as far as I've been able to tell is that he's a Baptist and will apparently be "tough on immigrants."

5. Nope he isn't run of the mill.

He's got a populist message... although it is a Christofacist one....

He publicly called the Club for Growth the "Club for Greed".

The Corporatists in the GOP hate him, and all the trash talk about him on right wing radio (Trashing him was a "talking point") in the last couple of months shows there will soon be a showdown in the GOP.

All that wondering why social conservatives vote against their economic interests? Well, they finally found their man. It is going to be an interesting political season.

6. That's disputable

I doubt he got anywhere near that number. Polls like that are very bad at getting minority voters right.

Huckabee will be one of the easiest to beat.
