Just wrote this to MSNBC about last night's caucus coverage
Dear Mr Abrams, or to whom this may concern:

As I watched the Iowa caucus coverage it came to mind how very tired it was as well as tiring.

Tired because the old time blowhards like Pat Buchanan and Chris Matthews dominated so much of the talking time. Most of what they are saying is old hat, regurgitated filler talk and a way to hear their own voices drone out loud.
They have already said all I ever want to hear from them for this entire lifetime.

When people like Maddows, Fineman, Robinson and Olberman are at the table, they ought not be the ones whose comments get squeezed in, or who consistently are called on last.

The loud mouth format, the talking over others and interrupting, the rule of "balancing" viewpoints all have to go. These unsophisticated ways of running talk shows have crept in as the electorate dumbed down. The dire situation in our country requires more sophisticated discourse, shouting points and sound bites are so 2007.
I want it to be better now.

Please note that is is not the comments of Matthews or Buchanan that are distributed on u-tube or other internet places, in order to be circulated.
It is the others we want to hear, that's why they get the play the next day.

Thanks for the forum to let us express feedback.

2. I was cringing the whole time.
Although I can't really afford it, I've gotten cable for the election. I've never been exposed to Matthews before and will avoid it as much as possible in the future. He's like nails on a blackboard!

4. There's a reason why God created C-Span
Granted, I had to sit through way too much of a Iowa platform snoozefest before they got around to the candidate's speeches, but at least there was no Tweety, Buchanan, Hannity, Bennett, etc. to suffer through.

5. It sure didn't look like
any of them on MSNBC were having a good time either.
That was exciting stuff happening there in Iowa
and some of these dusty old politicos were
stumbling over their own gravitas.
Yeah, it is generation.
And it's about time.
Thank goodness.

6. What ever happened to that Buchanan senate run?
There was talk a while back that Uncle Pat wanted to run in Virginia for Warner's seat. I was waiting for the announcement so that I could contribute to his campaign just to get him off the TV!! MSNBC is all Pat all the time, day and night.
