10. Edwards and Obama
Hillary came off as too negative and mean. Her "Can we get a reality break?" response was downright nasty, and that is what she was today, nasty.

14. Pretty much a wash
with Obama taking the worst of it (which is entirely to be expected for a frontrunner).

And one would have to say as the candidates did, that there's HUGE difference between what we heard on the Dem side, and what the looney fringe talked about on the far right.

20. Obama, because no one knocked him out.
Just as Clinton won many of the early debates because there wasn't a moment that really hurt him. Clinton needed Obama to make a major slip-up, or fall into one of her traps, he did not. What's more, in contrast to Mitt Romney, Huck and McCain, he didn't accept the baiting by Clinton to fight.

Hillary was wildly uneven, ranging from almost subdued and sullen to shouting and angry.

35. When someone accuses her of defending the status quo that hurts Americans
She had every right and need to react with anger. Edwards essentially was calling her the enemy of hard working Americans with that jab. If she had not reacted with anger she would have been accused of being an ice queen.

31. Edwards won. He's the leader. Obama and Hillary showed their
stripes as politicians when they ducked the last question about what they might have said in a previous debate they'd like to take back.

I thought Richardson did ok. He sure sounded like Howard Dean redux, though, as an executive who'd balanced budgets, etc.

39. No one really stood out and shined above the rest
In my opinion everyone did alright, and no one really made any major slip ups likely to cost them much. At the same time no one really shined so much that they're likely to gain support.

Clinton and Obama both had their moments where I went "oh, that won't look so good", and where I went "great point, they're really hitting it home here", Clinton had a bit more of those good moments in my opinion. But still, I don't think much is likely to change. Therefore I'd have to say that Obama or Clinton won, because they're still in the positions to potentially win the nomination.

41. Edwards
I agree with George S when he said Edwards was by far the most energized on stage tonight. His response to Richardson regarding bringing the country together *but also* not playing nice kicked ass.

Edwards came out on top followed closely by Obama. Hillary had some good moments too but seemed to be playing defense a lot...she was also talking about change to much which isn't her strongsuit.

And I thought Richardson had some great answers. He'd make a hell of a vp.
