THE REAL WINNER TONIGHT
We, the proud liberals who comprise the Democratic Party, were the real winners.

I am a partisan fan of John Edwards, sharing his views of the Corporate world, as I am in the same profession, and know that battle from the trenches.

Still, I admire Obama and his populist leanings.

Hillary, umm, not too much, but she won't be relevant that much longer as she seems to be the Mitt Romney of the Party, taking all the heat and post debate punditry hits.

Still, in positing Democratic views of the world against the Corporate, FEAR-Mongering, old age , monied country club Rethuglicans just before them, a more STARK contrast could not have been made.

Democrats, though not in agreement with accomplishing policy, AT LEAST have a policy, which addresses the concerns of the weak and marginalized. The Rethugs play only to the extreme margin of Fundamentalist Theocrats or monied Old money , or at the feet of their Corporate masters.

So, even though I'll still battle for my man, John Edwards, I'll applaud ALL OF US, who aren't Republican pond scum.

1. Yes that's the feeling I got tonite
It felt like finally -- after years of being encased in ice, some real Democratic principles and passions are finally breaking through.

Even Hillary feels the need to address the real issues now.

4. support for Hillary is support for Corporate America
JUST LOOK AT THE NUMBERS IN LOBBYIST DONATIONS.

Still, not wanting anyone to turn this post partisan, it was a DEMOCRATIC victory again, just like Iowa and it's Democratic turnout.

3. O happen to think Edwards won tonight. I watched the debate
via a web stream that superimposed the sudience reaction over the video. Hillary didn't do very well, Obama had his moments, but Edwards did the best. I was a strong Biden supporter before Iowa and he went away. I have made the switch to Edwards. I like Hillary but I'm afraid there are still too many feminists who would just never vote for a woman. I like Obama's upbeat message, but I'm afraid there are still way too many racists who would never vote for a black. I'm so afraid of what would happen to our country if another Pub got elected I'm not willing to take the chance that I could be right on those two points.

9. From Marcos at Daily Kos
"Edwards probably had the best performance of the night. He came across as passionate, and was more energetic than the other candidates. With the debate closing on economic issues, he was able to play his populist card to great effect and dominate the closing minutes of the debate."
