Bill Clinton has been talking on CSpan for the past hour...
Several times touting his record in his administration. Is this their strategy between now and Tuesday?

2. I sometimes think the Clintons believed Hillary was entitled to the Dem nomination.
They seem peevish, almost, that it isn't being served up on a silver platter.

12. They absolutely do believe that Hillary is entitled and that it is her
turn. Heck everybody knows that it's Hillary's turn. What part of that don't Barack and John understand. :sarcasm:

4. It won't work.
Few are buying Hillary's attempt at taking credit for Bill's success.

5. Has he mentioned DOMA, Don't Ask-Don't Tell, School of Americas yet?
Bill's record includes screwing the LGBT community and enabling torture and genocide in Latin America. What a guy!

6. I'm so done with that.
There are some out there who would vote for Hillary knowing he'd be back in the White House so of course they'll use this strategy if they think it'll work. I like to listen to Bill speak, but it won't make me vote for his wife.

13. Agreed... but
Haven't they figured out yet that so many more are voting AGAINST her every time they're reminded he'll be back in the white house again?

15. Precisely.
His past does not mean she will duplicate it; the fact that seems to be a possible ulterior motive should have people asking questions.

29. Biden voted against Kyl-Lieberman, heavily pushed by the Israel Lobby
and he didn't hug Ariel Sharon and called him a great man.

Back in 2002 Hillary traveled to Israel with Joe Lieberman. Unlike Lieberman, Hillary refused to meet with representatives of Israel's peace movement and with Palestinians pushing for a peace settlement. Unlike Lieberman, Hillary only chose to meet with the most extreme rightwing elements in Israel.

Hillary got my Pander Bear Award on a thread posted at the time in DU's Israel/Palestine forum.

11. His closing just a minute ago was STELLAR!
He responded to a question to tell us something we don't know about Hillary. He spoke about how those that knew were devoted to her because of her trustworthyness and sense of responsibility very elequent and on a very personal and human level. He was GREAT...for her.... still the BIG DOG.

16. Wasn't it beautiful? And I loved the story he told of how, when he & Hillary celebrated their
wedding anniversary back in October, one of their friends who is 61, called them, and said that his anniversary present to them, was that he wanted to go campaign for Sen. Clinton in Iowa and New Hampshire.

And President Clinton told the friend "Are you sure? You're 61 and it's cold there." And the friend went on to say yes, he was sure. He was sick of all the lies about Sen. Clinton, and he wanted the chance to tell the real story of Sen. Clinton, and he wanted the chance to tell Iowa and New Hampshire how he didn't know a single person who's ever met Sen. Clinton, who didn't trust her with their lives.

It was a really beautiful statement.

Bill is being very shameful. Replace Monica with the CSPAN audience and there ya go. Or is it the other way 'round this time?

21. I was around in the 50's and the outstanding memory is all
the people standing in the unemployment lines. The office was full everyday with lines stretching down the street. Don't even try to tell me about the great Ike. Or try to compare him with a great President like Clinton. And as far as Monica, most Presidents have had someone on the side including Ike. They just didn't have the dirty tactics then as they do now.

She has been running on the coattails of Bill. Hillary is no Bill Clinton. It is a doomed strategy.
