Goddamn those CNN Knuckleheads....No mention of Edwards in report
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 03:43 PM by Armstead
On Late Edition, Wolf Blitzer interviewed John Edwards.

Good for Wolfe.

But then a few minutes later he went to CNN's political correspondent in New Hampshire, Jim Lothian, who DIDN'T EVEN MENTION EDWARDS in his analysis of the current status of the race.

He didn't even bother to say anything like "Edwards has an uphill battle" or anything else. Nuthin. It was all about Hillary and Obama, as if it were a two-way race.

Jackoffs.

1. So--he has Edwards on, but it's not enough? The pundits have to
include Edwards in their analyses for Edwards to get his message out there?

4. I was frustrated at the treatment of him, Dodd and Kucinich too
Dodd and Biden especially deserved to be considered equal contenders from the beginning considering their long experience in the Senate. And Kucinich should have taken more seriously too as an important voice from the progressive base.

But now that the field is narrowing down, there's even less excuse to ignore the guy who came in second in Iowa.

6. It seemed to me, when Biden was in the running, that ALL the Top Three were
getting coverage, and just the second tier was being ignored.

Now that I'm not focused on Joe - I totally agree that Edwards is being dismissed -- like he's the NEW second tier or something.

I would have thought with Edwards coming in ahead of Clinton, that would have generated BIG coverage.

The fucking media.

5. I agree. That sucks.
I don't want media people deciding which presidential candidates are worthy of discussion. I still remember the old days when the fairness doctrine set the standard. There was more of an implicit acceptance then that the activities of all candidates should be covered and the decision of who was really worthy of that coverage should be left to the voters to decide.
