Is it worse if Bush lies or if Obama lies??
Or Tom Delay or anyone else? There really is no difference. We have had 7 full years of nothing but lies from Bush. We have heard plenty of outright lies from the GOP about health care. We were lied to by the GOP badly about the Medicare Prescription legislation. And, we all know that the health care lobby has the GOP in its back pocket to do or say whatever they need to lie about in order to do the health care industry's bidding.

And now Obama lies about his ties with a big Pharma lobbyist? Obviously the health care lobby is hedging their bets and now wants to have the alleged leading Democratic presidential candidate in their back pocket too. What better way to do it.

Mr. Obama, go ahead and stay in the health care industry's back pocket. But don't lie to us about it when you have one of their own lobbyists as a campaign manager.

We've had enough lies.

2. Obama can't split hairs with some secret federal vs. state
lobbyist stuff. There is no secret fingers crossed in this game. Lobbyists work for the client. This guy is a lobbyist for Big Pharma which means everything he does is with Big Pharma's best interest at heart.

We've
had
enough
lies.

We've
had
enough.

It's time for everyone to be in "tell the truth" mode.

America needs change, not a President controlled by lobbyists and PACs, we've already had that the last 7 years, and we all know what that's gotten us. :(

4. Big pharma will not allow a president they don't have in their pocket
so expect whoever wins to throw a token bone in our direction while HUGE gifts will be given to the insurance and drug companies.

I hate being a doomsayer, but those companies don't sound too worried about a Dem president, when they should be shaking in their boots.

5. Then you should really worry about
this:

In 2006, Fortress paid Sen. John Edwards, candidate for the 2008 Democratic Party nomination for president, and the 2004 nominee for vice president, $479,512 for his consulting services, a part-time job. <1> The November 19, 2007 edition of the Wall Street Journal reported Edwards had invested $16 Million in Fortress and Fortress had bought poor performing New Orleans mortgages with the intention of foreclosing on properties in the Hurricane Katrina affected area through affiliates. The charges were repeated in the November 25, 2007 edition of FoxNews' Hannity's America.

14. It's worse if Bush lies about war than if Clinton lies about sex.
Lies are lies, we agree- but since we are talking about politicians here, the degree and effect is another.

Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 05:48 PM by ClericJohnPreston
Hillary is DANGER #1 to Democrats. Obama is a distant second.

Still, Obama is too cozy with lobbists since his State legislature days, when the people lost through BROKERED bi-partisan deals.

Only Edwards offers the chance to put a stake in the vampire heart of CORPORATISM!

if he's lying and also because of the very fact that he is on the corporate money train.

People need to take off their rose colored glasses when they are looking at these candidates.
