I've heard through the grapevine that a top tier exec from one of the major health insurance companies "quit his job" to become attached to a particular Democratic campaign and have a hand in formulating health care policy. And, when the campaign is over, guess what? That's right! His job is waiting for him. No conflict of interests there. Right? :eyes:
This is just what I would expect from the Republicans but knowing that this is going on in a Democrat's campaign just makes me sick. And, no, I won't say which one it is because I don't have documentable facts, just hearsay. But it sure makes me wonder how much of this sort of thing is going on across all of the major Democratic contestants. The fact that there's not much difference in any of their health care plans--all of them make sure that the health insurance industry still gets the majority of the pie--causes me to suspect that, one way or the other, they're all in bed with someone. I'm fed up with all of them, frankly. I want a viable candidate who can tell me that I won't have to pay one more nickel to a for-profit health insurance company.
Hillary, John, Barack: It's called HR 676 and it's what Americans deserve. So, kick the damned corporate weasels off of your buses and prove that you're really paying attention to what the people are saying. It's real nice of you to take questions at your campaign stops but don't tell me you're listening when all you do is cleverly craft answers that enable you to tout decisions you made a long time before you ever began taking those questions in the first place.
