If Obama is the nom.. preferred ticket: Obama-Clinton
I'm a strong supporter of John Edwards,
and I would not like to see him in a Veep
position but rather in a position with
some meat in it, like perhaps:

Attorney General

2. Ugh, no. How about Obama-Feingold?
Clinton being anywhere on the ticket would bring the right wing out in droves.

6. No
Hillary won't run for VP. If she doesn't get the nomination, she'll keep working in the Senate. What would she politcally gain from being VP? Granted, it would make my vote for him in the GE a boost, but I just can't see that happening.

24. Exactly...if this country is fortunate
enough that hillary loses than she needs to go back and finish her senate term in New York and then do whatever that has nothing to do with running our country. Jeeze. vp.

his resume--no thanks.

27. You can never have enough sizzle. I want more sizzle than is legally allowed.
I want Obama's running mate to be so impressive, the GOPers die in the ensuing landslide. Biden comes closest to fitting that bill.

25. Perfect for VP!
A Presidential candidate never wants to be upstaged by his veep nominee. Richardson could get him many hispanic votes without any chance that he would upstage him. I like it.

33. Of course he has charisma; he never would have won all those elections without it.
And he's no more gaffe-prone than a lot of other politicans. Look at his campaign events, the entire year, he goes into a room and is very well liked and received by the crowd. He gets applause for his substance, not just a few generalities.

What he doesn't have is the flash, media-annoiting coverage and "celebrity" status.
But he would be a great VP choice, giving Obama the gravitas that he so desperately needs.

34. He is a great campaigner. A great GRASS ROOTS campaigner.
But that wasn't going to get it done against the media-driven Obama juggernaut.

32. No, he isn't. He's clear, bold and his answers are packed with policy.
He's also very likable in a one-to-one situation.
Obama, who says nothing except change and some platitudes isn't all that interesting to a lot of people.

36. Huh?
I guess that was his evil twin rambling on and on during the debate last night. Yes, I get it. He was the governor, blah, blah, blah . . . Wait a minute, was this the same governor who refused to go after those caging the vote among Native Americans in 2004 ?

Senators have a bad time in a general election. But, it looks like Richardson's assertions are being received by deaf ears.
