5. NV is a caucus state. To be decided by whoever
the Culinary Workers Union decides to support on Wednesday. Likely the winner...so likely Obama

The Clinton campaign has pretty much conceded SC. Obama was ahead there before Iowa, if I recall

6. try realclearpolitics.com
They seem to compile polls pretty quickly. Got behind over the holidays, and maybe not the minute polls come out, but within a day or two.

I check rcp a few times a day, and Nevada hasnt had a new poll in a month. SC is almost as bad.

"I think it means there are a lot of folks who had bought into this aura of inevitability they may be rethinking," said Cobb-Hunter, who also is a member of the state party's executive committee. That, she says, makes it easier for people to support the senator from Illinois or South Carolina native John Edwards, a former senator from North Carolina.

Democratic voters will get a chance to see the candiates in action Jan. 21 when they gather at Myrtle Beach for a presidential debate to be broadcast on CNN.

The proof was in the audience of about 50 attending an Obama event here Saturday. Only 64-year-old Lauretta McFadden said she had misgivings about Obama. Those revolved around his race and whether he could win a general election.

"When it comes down to the actual election in November, will we be as committed to go out the polls and vote if it's a black man against a white?" McFadden, who is black, asked after hearing from Obama supporters. "Will we still go out and vote as strongly then as we do now?"

That sentiment coupled with the popularity of former President Bill Clinton is what has helped Hillary Clinton maintain a comfortable lead in South Carolina polling. Both Clintons play up ties to the state from his years as Arkansas governor and her time working with Bennettsville native Marion Wright Edelman, founder of the Children's Defense Fund. Clinton's paid staff in the state has surged from a couple of dozen to around 100.

But Obama has nearly as many staffers and far more volunteers. And he appears to be trumping Clinton's efforts to bring new voters to the Jan. 26 primary.

Expect Rory Reid (Sen. Harry Reid's son) to pack the crowds against Obama and Edwards (if hes still in).
More booing of them, cheering of Hillary

12. Last booing I heard of was Obama's supporters booing Hillary at some NH dinner.
But of course, that was excused as overzealous suppoters.

11. Id say it was a dead heat before Iowa in SC, but Clinton's "Huge" lead is debatable
Considering there hasnt been any polling in a month in Nevada. The last two polls which came out the same time had Clinton up 27, and 8 points. So pick your poll.

13. I have been watching for post-Iowa Nevada polls.
In my mind, that is where the story is. Obama will take NH, and SC. Hillary had a strong lead in Nevada. It will either be her only win pre-SuperTues or it will be the end of her campaign. If Obama can take Nevada, its over.

17. Hillary lost SC...
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 11:08 PM by BringBigDogBack
when she decided to deride and accuse Obama of 'false hope'.

I don't think that's going to do her many favors in the south. Just one 'false hoper's' opinion. ;)

She may well lose NH and SC, but Obama's got a fight on his hands now.

Don't underestimate last night's debate.

20. This article says Clinton advisers think SC is lost ...
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0108/7759.html

The adviser added that the campaign has come to accept another reality of the early process, which is that African-American voters are convinced that Obama is viable and shifting rapidly in his direction.

“We’re going to lose South Carolina,” he said.

21. liked this part
“It’s still possible to win or take a close second in New Hampshire, but if the turnout even begins to mirror what happened in Iowa, all bets are off,” said a Clinton adviser, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Get ready. Here comes another tidal wave.

Have shown Clinton up by ridiculously large margins. That'll probably change after the results of the recent and upcoming elections.

28. Not true
Mason-Dixon poll taken on Dec 3-5th, has Clinton at 34% and Obama at 26%. That is the most recent poll along with an ARG one from 12/1-12/6.
